Saif Ali Khan, who is set to portray the character of 'Lankesh' in Om Raut's magnum opus, Adipurush, has landed in troubled water after his controversial statement of "justifying the abduction of Sita by Raavan" in a recent interview. ## In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Saif had opened up on playing Raavan in Prabhas starrer Adhipurush and said, "It's interesting to play a demon king, less strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose".## His statement hurt the sentiments of a section of citizens and they demanded Saif's omission from the movie which will release in 2022. Mumbai BJP leader Ram Kadam criticized the actor for the same and had tweeted, "Actor #SaifAliKhan makes an extremely shocking statement regarding his forthcoming film Adipurush. Saif who plays Ravan's character says Ravan's abduction of Sita Maa will be justified in the film. Ravan's humane side will be shown and his war against Sri Ram will be justified". ## "Director @OmRaut director, you made #Tanhaji which was well received worldwide bcz it does justice to Hindu pride and Marathi asmita. But if #Adhipurush plans to show Ravan in positive light and justify the inhuman act of abduction of Sita Maa, we will never allow that to happen. Hope better sense prevails #JaiShriRam", he added. ## After found himself on the wrong side, Saif has now clarified and withdrawn his statement and has apologized for hurting the sentiments. He said that he never intended to hurt anyone as he himself idolize Lord Ram. This was never my intention or meant that way. I would like to sincerely apologize to everybody and withdraw my statement. Lord Ram has always been the symbol of Righteousness & Heroism for me. Adipurush is about celebrating the victory of good over evil and the entire team is working together to present the epic without any distortions", the actor said.## Talking about the film, Adipurush is an adaption of Ramayan in which Prabhas will portray the character of Lord Ram. On collaborating with Prabhas, Om Raut had said, "I am grateful to Prabhas for accepting the part and my vision and Bhushan Ji for his unconditional support to realize my dream project. We embark on this journey with tremendous passion and pride and promise our audience an experience like never before".## This mega budgeted project will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under the banners of T-series and Retrophiles. Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker's film Panipat, starring Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Sanjay Dutt was released one year ago on this day (December 6). The movie depicts the events that took place during the Third Battle of Panipat in 1761 between the Maratha Empire and the invading Afghan army of Ahmad Shah Abdali played by Sanjay Dutt.## Kriti Sanon, who played the role of Parvati Bai, wife of Sadashiv Rao Bhau played by Arjun Kapoor in the movie, gets nostalgic remembering her role and the action sequence filmed on her in the movie. Kriti posted two videos from the film on Instagram. She shared the stills from her fight sequence in the movie.## For the caption, she chose her dialogue from the film. She wrote, "All I could think of while doing this sequence was: Duvidha ke aage, Jab naari jaage, Himmat se kaam le. Choodi utaare, Kangan utaare, Talvaar thaam le!"## She further added, "P.S. Popular Punjabi and Bollywood Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has been very vocal about the ongoing farmers' protest against the new three farm laws passed by the central government. The Good Newwz actor also joined the protest against farm laws at the Delhi border and show his support for the farmers. ## Addressing the farmers at the Singhu border, he said, "Hats off to all of you farmers, you have created a new history. This history would be narrated to future generations. Farmers' issues shouldn't be diverted by anyone". ## Now, apart from standing head to head with protesting farmers, the singer-actor has lent financial support to farmers and has donated Rs. 1 crore to buy warm clothes for the protesters. Impact Wrestling can officially confirm that new AEW World Champion Kenny Omegama will appear on IMPACT THIS TUESDAY at 8/7c.## Last week, Kenny Omega became the new AEW Champion as he defeated Jon Moxley on AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming episode. This will mark Omega's debut for the company and his first appearance on any show since winning the title from Jon Moxley on this Wednesday's "Winter Is Coming" edition of AEW Dynamite on TNT.## According to Wrestling Inc., the relationship between Impact and AEW is not currently scheduled to be that intertwined. From what we have heard, Omega's appearance on Impact will be a one-off and was largely done as a favor from Omega for Don Callis, who is a good friend of Omega's. Omega also requested that Don work as the commentator for his big title win over Moxley.## Tony Khan apparently liked the idea and signed off on it. Beyond Omega making a one-off appearance on Impact, it was also relayed to us that The Good Brothers will likely be coming to AEW for one match as well.
