Team India captain Virat Kohli remained the only cricketer to be included in the Forbes magazine list of highest-paid 100 athletes in the world in 2020, announced on Friday. He is also the sole Indian to be featured on the list. The right-hand batsman rose to 66th spot from 100th in 2019. ## According to Forbes Kohli had estimated total earnings of $26 million ($24m from endorsements and $2m from salary/winnings). Last year his total earnings were $25 million. He is also the only Indian to feature in Forbes list of highest-paid athletes for the second time in a row.## The Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer has topped the 2020 list of highest-paid athletes for the first time. With estimated earnings of $106.3 million over the past 12 months, he becomes the first from his sport to top the chart. The tennis star edged out Portugal's football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo from the top spot. In 2019, Federer was at number five. ## Lionel Messi, who topped the list in 2019 has slipped to the third position with the earning of $104 million over the last 12 months. Cristiano Ronaldo is just ahead of Messi with $105 million earnings in the past year. ## American tennis star Naomi Osaka is the highest-paid female athlete in the history of the game with $37.4 million. Hollywood movie Sonic the Hedgehog has been booked for its sequel after Paramount Pictures and Sega Sammy have confirmed on Thursday (May 28). According to Variety, the project is still under development stage so no decision has been made yet regarding casting or a production start date.## The sequel of the film will mark the returning of Jeff Fowler to direct the live-action family comedy with Pat Casey and Josh Miller writing the script while Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, and Toru Nakahara will be producing the film. ## Sonic the Hedgehog is based on the popular video game franchise from Sega. Its first part was released on 14 February of this year. The film tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. Indian skipper Virat Kohli has often been criticized for his experimental style of captaincy which leads to regular changes in the team. Some players have raised questions on his captaincy and have often said that making frequent changes make players uncertain about their chances in playing XI. ## However, there is another side of the coin is that he identify the real talent and throws him for the big challenges which hardly had discussed. Shubman Gill who is a big fan of Virat Kohli a player and has also admired his style of captaincy and feels that it is an advantage to have a captain like him. ## "Yes, it's definitely an advantage when your captain wants you to go all-in and there is no pressure. You won't feel that there is one percent of your game that would be left when you are on the field so it's always good for the young players when the captain backs you," Gill told IANS. ## Gill who has had a sensational tournament of the U-19 world cup in 2018 and has been very successful in domestic cricket said that Kohli has talked to him about the importance of consistency in international cricket. ## "I have interacted with him a couple of times. He just tells me to keep doing stuff that I am already doing and to have consistency on the field. Consistency is an important factor, he added.## Shubman Gill hasn't had a great start of his international career where he has played only 2 ODIs and has scored only 16 runs in those matches. Actor Sonu Sood has become the talk of the town for his great gesture towards the migrant workers who been suffering the most due to COVID-19. The actor has been arranging transport for the migrants to take them to their native places. Hollywood actor Chris Evans has said the playing the role of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is the best decision he has ever made. However, the actor also confessed that he was scared and having anxiety attacks when MCU offered him the role of Captain America. ## Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Evans revealed that initially, he turned down the role of Captain America despite the six-film deal and a higher salary. It was the time when his family and friends pushed him for the role telling him he was making his decision based on fear to which the actor also agreed. ## "And it really just kind of clicked and it really did start to make sense to me that way, so I said 'Yeah. I think that's why the whole first movie, my hair was on fire, you're so scared just like 'Oh my god, I can't believe I'm doing this and please don't backfire, please don't blow up in my face. And not only did it not, but it was the best decision I've ever made, and I really owe that to Kevin Feige for being persistent and helping me avoid making a giant mistake. To be honest, all the things that I was fearing never really came to fruition." ## Chris Evans also confirmed that one of the main reasons for him to take up the challenge was none other than Robert Downey Jr, his MCU frenemy Iron Man who comfort him about the Marvel Method. ## "I knew where they wanted to go, that's part of the initial deal, not just for Captain America but for Avengers movies and that was daunting. Late Irrfan Khan's last film Angrezi Medium which theatrical release was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown in the country, is all set to become one of the first movies to be released in Dubai as the cinemas are reopening there on Wednesday, May 27 after the two months of break. ## However, the film will not get to release with full capacity as the cinemas have to follow some strict guidelines issued by the government.
