Los Angeles, May 23 - The new Avengers movies will take more than the earlier scheduled time as Disney has postponed the release dates of Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret War by nearly 7 months each. ## Doomsday, which was supposed to be released on May 1st, 2026, will now debut in worldwide theatres on December 18, 2026. On the other hand, Secret Wars has been pushed back to December 17, 2027, from its originally planned May 7, 2027, launch. ## Notably, the new release calendar saw Disney remove several unannounced Marvel titles from its calendar. The date of Feb. 13, 2026, previously slotted for an Untitled Marvel project, has been removed from the schedule. Meanwhile, the dates of Nov. 6, 2026 and Nov. 5, 2027 — both previously set for Untitled Marvel features — have been amended to simply Untitled Disney films. ## After the changes, Avengers: Doomsday and Sony's Spider-Man: Brand New Day are now the only Marvel Cinematic Universe entries slated to hit theatres in 2026. Brand New Day is scheduled for a July 31, 2026, release, which was 3 months after the original date of Doomsday. ## Doomsday and Secret Wars are both massive productions for Marvel Studios and will feature a huge cast, including the return of Robert Downey Jr., this time playing the villainous Doctor Doom. Los Angeles, May 22 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is heading for a franchise record at the worldwide box office during the Memorial Day opening weekend, which is expected to deliver massive box office numbers. ## The Final Reckoning had an early release in a few international markets, including India, but the official international roll-out of the movie began on Wednesday. According to Deadline, the film is expected to gross $200 million - $220 million in its worldwide opening weekend, which will be a record for the franchise. ## The film's domestic (North America) opening weekend is projected to be in the range of $75 million - $85 million, while its international debut is expected to be $125 million - $135 million. The film's projected opening is comfortably beating the previous record holder, 2018's Mission: Impossible – Fallout, which scored $61 million domestically. ## While Paramount Pictures is yet to release the official collection from early international releases, the movie has grossed approximately 59 crores ($6.85 million) in India in 5 days so far. Mumbai, May 22 - Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is set to collaborate with superstar Allu Arjun for the first time for director Atlee's sci-fi action spectacle, tentatively titled AA22xA6. The actress has reportedly been roped in to play the leading lady in this highly anticipated film. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, director Atlee was in talks with Deepika for the past few months before the actress officially came on board recently. This marks their second collaboration after the mega Bollywood blockbuster, Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. ## While the details are not revealed, it is said that Deepika has been paid a huge remuneration for AA22xA6, which will be made on a budget of over 600 crores. The film also has Mrunal Thakur and Janhvi Kapoor as the other 2 female leads. The casting for the other actors is currently underway. ## Envisioned as a visually groundbreaking action spectacle set in a parallel universe, AA22xA6 features the Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun in his first double role. Mumbai, May 22 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's highly-awaited Pan India movie Spirit with superstar Prabhas, seems to have a major casting shift after Deepika Padukone reportedly exited the film for some reason. ## It is said that Deepika was officially on board to play the female lead role, but has now been dropped from the film. According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, SRV got the shock of his life when Deepika Padukone refused to shoot for more than 6 hours a day for Spirit. ## Apart from the shooting hours, Deepika, through her agency, reportedly demanded an amendment to the contract. Their point of contention was simple - if the shoot extends beyond 100 days, Deepika will have to be paid extra for every single day of the shoot beyond the commitment on paper. ## The report further states that director Vanga, along with the producers, tried their best to sort out the issues, but the actress refused to bow down, eventually leading Vanga to drop the Kalki actress from the movie. He is now looking to recast for the part. ## Interestingly, Deepika had earlier turned down the offer as the shooting timelines did not match due to her pregnancy. However, due to a delay in the shoot, SRV approached her again, and this time, she agreed to come on board, before she was dropped again. ## The film is produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. Mumbai, May 21 - The first teaser of Yash Raj Films' highly anticipated spy action thriller War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, has received a thunderous response across social media platforms, with mostly positive talk around it. The teaser was launched on May 20, on the occasion of Jr. NTR's birthday. ## Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the teaser scored a huge 70+ million views on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook in the first 24 hours. On TY alone, the blockbuster promo scored 25+ million views, including 20+ million views in the Hindi version. ## The talk around the teaser is mostly positive, with the main criticism being for VFX, which looked subpar. Chennai, May 21 - The blockbuster and the legendary duo of actor Kamal Haasan and director Mani Ratnam have teamed up for the first time since their last collaboration, Nayakan (1987), for the gangster action drama film Thug Life. ## Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies, Thug Life is one of the most anticipated Tamil movies of the year, and the makers are treating it with utmost care. Also starring Silambarasan and Trisha Krishnan in prominent roles along with others, the film is scheduled to hit the big screen on June 5 in multiple languages. ## Normally, Tamil films arrive on digital platforms after just 4 weeks of theatrical run, but Thug Life is set to break this norm. While the fans were excited for the movie, veteran actor Paresh Rawal, who has been a big part of the franchise, shocked everyone by announcing his exit from the upcoming movie. ## It was reported that Rawal exited Hera Pheri 3 due to creative differences; however, he later clarified that his decision to exit the film is for some other reasons. It is said that the paperwork for the film was done, hence, Rawal's action came as a massive shock to the team. ## Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the producers of Hera Pheri 3 – Cape of Good Films have sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal claiming damages worth Rs 25 crore, for the amount invested in the film, that is now lost due to his unprofessional behaviour.## As per the report, "Cape of Good Films had procured the rights of Hera Pheri 3 from multiple stakeholders, and even repaid all the debts existing on the film. Paresh Rawal's unprofessional behaviour has cost a bomb to the film". ## "All the amounts invested by Cape of Good Films, to make a debt-free product, were done only after the OG trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty had agreed to be a part of the third Hera Pheri film. In fact, Hera Pheri 3 also went on floors as the team reunited to shoot for an extremely funny announcement video", the report further stated.## The makers have decided to consider Rawal's decision as unprofessional and uncalled for, and sent him a legal notice, demanding 25 crore to pay for the losses they have suffered due to his action.
