Mumbai, May 3 - Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor is in red-hot demand after scoring one of the biggest Indian blockbusters in Stree 2 last year. The actress has been flooded with offers by many filmmakers, and reportedly, she has signed on for a female-led film with producer Ekta Kapoor. ## The film in question is said to be a high-concept thriller, to be directed by the director of Tumbbad fame, Rahi Anil Barve. According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, Shraddha has received Rs. 17 crore remuneration for her next film with Ekta. ## Apart from the upfront fees, the actress has also got a profit-sharing clause added in her agreement and will be getting a certain percentage of share in the profits post the film's release. This is among the highest remunerations for a female actor in Indian cinema. ## It is said that Ekta Kapoor was more than happy to splurge Rs. 17 crore + profit share to sign Shraddha Kapoor, as the Rahi Anil Barve film will be the actress' follow-up to the highest-grossing film of Hindi Cinema, Stree 2. ## The yet untitled film is currently in the pre-production stage and will go on floors in the second half of the year. Mumbai, May 2 - Ajay Devgn's crime thriller Raid 2 has shown a good hold on its second day after scoring one of the biggest openings of the year with approximately 19.25 crores net collection, which exceeded trade expectations.## According to early estimates, Raid 2 has scored in the range of 11-12 crores net collection on its second day, dropping around 35%, which is a good hold considering the fact that the opening day was a partial holiday. The final number can go higher depending on how strong smaller centres are. ## The total collection of the movie after 2 days is 30.50+ crores net. It is expected to score big gains on Saturday and Sunday as the 4-day opening weekend will be eyeing 70 crores (+/-). Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Delhi continue to draw audience while other regions are expected to come on board in the next two days. ## The real test for Raid 2 will be on Monday, which will determine how far it can go at the box office. The good thing is that there is not much competition, and the trend so far suggests that the movie has found acceptance among its target audience with mixed to positive word of mouth.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, May 2 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's cop action thriller Spirit with Pan India superstar Prabhas is among the biggest Indian films in the making. Bhushan Kumar will produce it with Sandeep Vanga, and the makers are in the process of locking some of the best talents of the country for the film. ## According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, Deepika Padukone has been signed on to play a prominent role in Spirit. The actress had earlier turned down the offer as the shooting timelines did not match due to her pregnancy. However, due to a delay in the shoot, SRV approached Deepika again and this time, she agreed to come on board. ## Spirit was originally scheduled to go on floors by the end of last year, but was delayed, and it will now commence in the next few months, as confirmed by producer Bhushan Kumar. The upcoming film will mark Deepika's reunion with Prabhas after last year's Kalki 2898 AD.## The report further revealed that Spirit is in the process of undergoing a major change in the star-cast. Earlier, there were reports that Mrunal Thakur, Kareena Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan would be part of the movie, but there is no development on the same. Currently, only Deepika is locked with Prabhas. ## Meanwhile, Deepika has multiple films in the pipeline. Mumbai, May 1 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 is off to a solid start at the domestic box office. The movie was expected to open well due to being the sequel and star power, but it has exceeded expectations to set the stage for a big weekend. ## According to early estimates, Raid 2 has scored 18-19 crores net collection on its first day, Thursday. The movie benefited from the partial holiday due to Maharashtra Day / Labour Day, which provided the extra push to take the collection close to the 20 crores mark. ## The trade was anticipating a little lower opening day, which still would have been a very good start, but here, the film showed what a sequel can do. The movie performed best in Maharashtra, which has been a strong market for Ajay Devgn over the years, followed by Gujarat, Delhi, and West Bengal. ## The initial word of mouth for Raid 2 is mixed to positive, which should be enough for it a have a very good extended opening weekend. There will be a drop tomorrow, Friday, which is a working day, but is expected to score a solid jump on Saturday and Sunday. Mumbai, May 1 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reportedly in talks to headline a film based on the Galwan Valley conflict between India and China. The actor was last seen in director A. R. Murugadoss' action drama Sikandar, which underperformed at the box office. ## Over the last few weeks, Salman Khan has been offered films from different filmmakers. According to the report by The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor has shown interest in a project based on the Galwan clash, which happened in 2020. ## Director Apoorva Lakhia, known for films like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Mission Istaanbul, Zanjeer, and Haseena Parkar, is said to be the frontrunner to direct the project in question. The film will chronicle the deadly conflict which broke out in June 2020, where 20 Indian soldiers and over 40 Chinese soldiers were killed. ## Meanwhile, apart from the aforementioned film, Salman Khan also reportedly got offers from Ali Abbas Zafar and Kabir Khan. The positive inside reports and strong franchise value seem to have done the job for the movie, as it is tracking one of the best openings of the year. ## The Telugu film industry has been feeling the heat for the last few weeks no success at the box office. When things were going gloomy, HIT 3 seems to have come as a saviour for the industry. The movie scored excellent advances and is heading towards a big opening at the domestic box office. ## Another big film of the day, Suriya's Retro, is set to deliver a powerful punch. Mumbai, April 30 - After the big success of Raid (2018), Bollywood star Ajay Devgn and director Raj Kumar Gupta have reunited for its sequel, which hits the big screen on May 1st. The movie has been censored with a U/A certificate with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes, and is carrying positive buzz. ## Lately, the franchise-based films are doing wonders at the box office, and it seems, Raid 2 is set to be the next in the list. The advance booking of the movie was opened a couple of days ago, and the response has been pleasant, with one of the best for a Bollywood movie of the year. ## As of 8 PM on April 30, Raid 2 has sold around 160K tickets worth approximately 4.35 crores gross for the opening day. The final sales are heading towards 5-5.50 crores gross, and in comparison with one of Ajay Devgn's recent films, Shaitaan, which scored approximately 4.15 crores pre-sales for the opening day. ## Raid 2 will reportedly be released on over 3500+ screens across the country, which is among the biggest of the year. Considering the pre-sales trend and strong franchise value, the film is expected to open in the range of 15-17 crores net, despite the competition with holdovers and new releases. ## Shaitaan, with 4.15 crores pre-sales, took the opening of approximately 14.75 crores net, and Raid 2 will look to open in the same range, with a strong possibility of going higher, especially since the Maharashtra Day/Labour Day holiday in some states on Thursday. The positive word of mouth may further strengthen the opening, which needs to be seen.## If Raid 2 manages to click with the audience positively, then the film will be guaranteed to have a good run at the box office with not much competition, other than with holdovers to some extent, for the next few weeks. Kochi, April 30 - Superstar Mohanlal's drama thriller Thudarum has stunned the trade and has stormed into the 100 crores club at the worldwide box office within a week, becoming one of the fastest Malayalam films ever to do so. ## Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the film has been running riot ever since it was released, despite the not-so-good buzz before the release. In 5 days so far, it grossed approximately 95 crores globally, and at the time of writing this piece, it has entered the 100 crores club. ## The film's 5-day worldwide collection includes a domestic gross of approximately 44 crores, while the overseas total is 51+ crores. It is the 11th Malayalam film of all time and the 4th for Mohanlal to achieve the milestone of 100 crores gross collection. Also, it is the second fastest Mollywood title after Empuraan (2 days) to do so. ## Thudarum is the 13th Indian and the second Malayalam movie of 2025 to hit 100 crores globally. The other Mollywood title to score the milestone is Empuraan, which is also the highest-grossing Mollywood film ever with 265+ crores worldwide, which also starred Mohanlal. ## Stay tuned...

Los Angeles, April 30 - Marvel Studios' much-anticipated Thunderbolts is looking to dominate the box office after flying high with the reviews from critics. The movie is already among the top-rated Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) blockbusters with nearly 90% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes. ## According to Deadline, the superhero movie is projected to earn $175 million in its opening weekend at the worldwide box office. Domestically (North America), the film is projected to open with $70 million - $75 million, and likely much more, while overseas, the weekend is aimed at $90 million - $100 million. ## The North America presales for Thunderbolts* stands at $12+ million (per Deadline), which is on pace with another first instalment MCU movie, 2021's Eternals ($71.2 million). The presales figure is also ahead of Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings ($75.3 million) and behind this year's Captain America: Brave New World ($88.8 million).## Having said that, the reviews for Thunderbolts are among the best in the MCU, and much higher than some of the recent titles, such as Captain America: Brave New World (48% rotten), Eternals (47%) and even The Marvels (62%), and this is expected to boost the film's box office. ## Directed by Jake Schreier, the movie stars Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in prominent roles.## In the movie, a group of antiheroes are caught in a deadly trap by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and is forced into a dangerous mission that could bring them redemption if they unite as a team.
