Chennai, April 25 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's action comedy Good Bad Ugly is nearing the 250 crores mark at the global box office, as at the end of the second week (15 days), it has grossed around 237 crores which includes around 172 crores domestic collection. ## GBU has already become the highest-grossing Tamil movie of the year and also the biggest grosser of Ajith Kumar. In this process, the blockbuster movie has emerged as the actor's biggest hit in the home state, Tamil Nadu, by beating Viswasam. ## Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, GBU has scored approximately 144.50 crores gross in Tamil Nadu in 15 days, making it the biggest grosser for the AK in the state. Viswasam had generated an estimated 139 crores in the state, and this record has been broken after nearly 6 years. ## The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, and this marks the studio's debut production in Tamil cinema. Mumbai, April 22 - Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic romantic drama Love & War might be delayed from its original March 2026 release. The film starring Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal is currently under production. ## The shoot of Love & War kicked off last year, and the makers announced a March 20, 2026, release. According to the latest report by The Hollywood Reporter India, the current shooting timeline of the film involves a mega war sequence, which the director will mount on a huge scale. ## After the war sequence is filmed, which will only reportedly happen in November this year, the makers aim to wrap the entire filming by January 2026. Given the delay in the shoot, it will be almost impossible for the team to complete the post-production in 2 months and release the film in March, per THR India.## Given all the aforementioned situations, the film is most likely to be delayed. Interestingly, Yash-fronted Toxic was recently confirmed for March 20, 2026, release in multiple languages, and that might be the first indication of Love and War getting delayed. ## Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor and Yash have teamed up for the first time for the epic Ramayana, in which the former plays the role of Lord Rama while Yash features as Ravana. The movie has been in the news for the past few weeks, and the makers officially confirmed it with the first look poster and release date. ## Naagzilla will be directed by the Fukrey director, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and it will hit the big screen on August 14, 2026, ahead of Independence Day and Nag Panchami. The film, Kartik Aaryan will play the role of a Snake-Man, and he will be fighting the snakes in the movie.## The upcoming film is a one-of-a-kind creature comedy in Indian cinema. Both Kartik and Lamba have proven their talent in the comedy space, and the duo is excited to collaborate for the first time in Naagzilla. Mumbai, April 22 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has been trying to bring the epic historical tale Mahabharata on the big screen for a long time, and after years of planning, the actor is planning to start working on it by this year itself.## During the latest interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the Dangal star provided some updates on his dream project, which he will take on as a producer and is likely to act. Setting his sights on the film that he calls one of his big ambitions, AK said that he hopes to start work on it this year.## The actor-filmmaker further revealed that the project will be made in multiple parts, and when asked about the director, he refused to give names but confirmed that it may be directed by multiple directors as he plans to film all the parts simultaneously. ## Aamir clarified that the writing process of the movie will take a couple of years before they take it to the floors. It is Sunny's second consecutive movie to hit the milestone after Gadar 2. ## Directed by Gopichand Mallineni, Jaat hit 100 crores gross on its 11th day after grossing approximately 88 crores in India and 12+ crores gross at the overseas box office. It is only the 4th Bollywood and 11th Indian movie of 2025 to enter this prestigious box office club.## Jaat proves to be the second consecutive success for Sunny Deol after the mega blockbuster Gadar 2: The Katha Continues. Mumbai, April 20 - The Akshay Kumar-led historical drama Kesari: Chapter 2 has a decent opening weekend at the domestic box office with around 30 crores net collection, thanks to an impressive growth on Saturday and Sunday after the partial holiday opening day. ## According to early estimates, the movie scored around 12-13 net on its first Sunday/third day, a jump of around 30% from Saturday. The film had opened to around 7.75 crores net (Good Friday), followed by 9.75 crores net on Saturday and witnessed further growth on Sunday to clock a better-than-expected weekend. ## Kesari 2 is more like an urban movie, but due to its patriotic theme, it is also attracting audiences from smaller centres. The positive trend over the weekend resulted in a surge in showcasing as the film has a limited release on around 1700 screens. ## The word of mouth is super positive, and the demand among the moviegoers for the film over the weekend suggests the film is likely to have a solid hold on Monday, which is crucial for the film's success. ## Meanwhile, Sunny Deol-fronted action drama Jaat scored a good second Sunday for an estimated around 5-5.50 crores net, for a decent second weekend of around 13 crores net. The total collection of the film has reached 74.50+ crores in 10 days. ## The positive response to Kesari 2 didn't let Jaat score bigger growth, which looked possible before the former's release. Mumbai, April 19 - After a decent opening day, superstar Akshay Kumar's historical drama Kesari: Chapter 2 has witnessed a fantastic growth on day 2, Saturday, as collection flirting with the double digit mark which is very good given the fact that the opening day was a holiday. ## Kesari 2 has a growth of 25%-35% today, as early estimates suggest the collection to be in the range of 9.50-10 crores net, which is superb. The total collection of the movie is around 17.25+ crores in 2 days, putting the weekend on track for around 30 crores. ## While the overall collection of the movie is decent, the jump in collection after the partial holiday has put Kesari 2 in a much better position, as it has managed to strike a chord with its target audience. The word of mouth is supremely positive, which is expected to play its part during weekdays. ## Meanwhile, Sunny Doel's action drama Jaat maintained the steady hold as collections are more or less similar from the second Friday, which was a partial holiday. According to the early estimates, the film is looking to score 3.75-4 crores net on the second day/day 10. ## The total collection of Jaat is around 69.50 crores net in 10 days, heading for around 73-75 crores through the second weekend. The film's growth was dented by the positive response to Kesari 2, which might have also dented the former's chance to enter the 100 crores net club. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, April 19 - Superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan is nearing its box office run but not before creating history for Malayalam cinema. The movie has emerged as the highest-grossing Mollywood film ever. ## Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film has grossed 266+ crores at the worldwide box office so far. In India, it has minted around 124 crores gross, while overseas collection is around 142 crores. L2 is the biggest Malayalam grosser at the domestic as well as overseas box office, while it will finish as the second biggest grosser in Kerala, behind 2018. ## Meanwhile, the makers have revealed that the total business of Empuraan is 325 crores, which includes theatrical and non-theatrical business (so far). There have been rumours that the film's OTT and satellite rights were sold for 100 crores, but the latest update from the makers reveals that non-theatrical rights are not more than 60 crores.## The non-theatrical rights of the movie are said to be the second highest ever for a Malayalam film, behind Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha. The political controversy around the movie has put a dent in Empuraan's OTT rights otherwise, it could have scored the biggest deal. ## Empuraan is produced by Aashirvad Cinemas in association with Sree Gokulam Movies. It is the second instalment in the Lucifer trilogy, which stars Mohanlal, alongside an ensemble cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, Manju Warrier, and Tovino Thomas, among others in key roles.## Stay tuned...
