Mumbai, April 19 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited action drama King is generating a significant buzz even though the makers are taking longer than expected to take it on the floors. The movie reunites King Khan with director Siddharth Anand after the mega blockbuster Pathaan. King features SRK in the title role alongside his daughter Suhana Khan (in her big-screen debut), Abhishek Bachchan and Munjya fame Abhay Varma. Now, according to the latest report by Peepingmoon.com, the makers have roped in Arshad Warsi to play a key role in the film. While details about Warsi's character remain undisclosed, his involvement is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the film. The upcoming films marks the duo's maiden collaboration, excluding Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye in which SRK made a guest appearnce. Recently, it was reported that Deepika Padukone would make a cameo appearance in King, but director Siddharth Anand seemingly denied the rumours. However, reports strongly say that she will be part of the movie despite the refusal from the team. King will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Anand's Marflix. Chennai, April 19 - Thala Ajith Kumar's action comedy Good Bad Ugly has surpassed 200 crores gross worldwide, becoming the first Tamil movie of the year. The movie entered this prestigious club on its 9th day as one of the fastest Tamil titles to do so. ## GBU has been doing excellent business since its opening day and eventually stormed past the double century at the global box office. In the 9 days so far, the film has grossed approximately 205+ crores, and with this, it has also become the biggest grosser for the Tamil superstar, beating Viswasam and Thunivu. ## In India, the blockbuster has grossed around 148 crores, which includes around 123 crores gross collection in the home state, Tamil Nadu. It is now Ajith Kumar's second biggest grosser in the state behind Viswasam. Overseas, the film has minted an estimated 57 crores so far. ## Good Bad Ugly is expected to see big gains on the second Saturday and Sunday, and at this point, it looks certain to enter the 250 crores club, which will be the first for AK. Mumbai, April 17 - Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has reunited with his director father David Dhawan for a comic caper Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which is currently on floors. Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde are playing the female leads.## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the team has completed over 50% of the film shoot, and the next month-long schedule is set to take place in Scotland, starting from April 22. Meanwhile, apart from the original leading trio, director David Dhawan has got a big ensemble on board the film. ## It is said that Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, Chunkey Panday, Rakesh Bedi, and Ali Asgar have been locked to play key roles in the film, and they all will be part of the upcoming schedule. Mumbai, April 17 - Sunny Deol's Jaat is getting a sequel with both the actor and director Gopichand Mallineni returning for their respective jobs. Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory will jointly produce it. ## Jaat is currently playing in theatres in its first week and is doing good office. So far, the movie has scored over 70 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office and is heading towards the 100 crores mark. It is Sunny Deol's first release since the mega blockbuster Gadar 2 in 2023. ## The action drama is the first time that Sunny Deol has teamed up with director Gopichand Mallineni, who has made his Bollywood debut with this film. Mumbai, April 17 - The sequel to Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor's cult comedy No Entry (2005) has been in development for a long time with a new cast featuring Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles. Anees Bazmee has written the script and will return to direct it. ## According to the latest reports, the makers have locked Tamannaah Bhatia to play one of the female lead roles. The actress has reportedly signed the project and is excited to explore the comedy genre. It is said that she will be seen in a role similar to Bipasha Basu's character from the original movie.## Apart from Tamannah, the makers are in talks with Aditi Rao Hydari about playing another female lead. While her casting hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, reports suggest that if finalised, the actress will bring a unique dynamic to the ensemble. Mumbai, April 16 - Sunny Deol-fronted action drama Jaat has another decent hold on its first Wednesday as early estimates suggest collection in the range of 3.75-4.25 crores net, which is a drop of around 30% from Tuesday. ## The total collection of the film is around 57.50 crores net in 7 days, as the first 8-day extended week is heading for 60-61 crores, which is a good collection. It has already become Sunny Deol's third biggest grosser after Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Gadar 2 in terms of net collection. ## The second weekend will be crucial for Jaat in its pursuit to enter the 100 crores club. There is Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2, which will be tough competition for the Sunny Doel-starrer in the second weekend. Kochi, April 16 - Superstar Mohanlal's crime suspense thriller Drishyam is one of the most popular franchises to come from Malayalam cinema, and it reached the next level with the remake versions, especially the Bollywood star Ajay Devgn-led Hindi remake. ## The second part of the original film was directly released on OTT in 2021, before the Hindi remake set the box office on fire in 2022 with around 350 crores gross worldwide. Ajay Devgn has confirmed that the work on Drishyam 3 will begin soon, but it might be in trouble, as per the latest report. ## Recently, Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph confirmed Drishyam 3, and now, according to the latest report by Mid-Day, the Malayalam makers are also targeting the Hindi audience with the upcoming film as it is already a popular franchise in North India due to the remake versions.## The report says that Mohanlal and Joseph are keen to make Drishyam 3 a bilingual offering to be released in Malayalam and Hindi to make it a proper pan-India outing. Mumbai, April 16 - The Farhan Akhtar's directorial action thriller Don 3 starring Ranveer Singh was back in the news recently for unwanted reasons when it was revealed that Kiara Advani backed out of playing the female lead due to her pregnancy. ## The news of Kiara leaving the film left the makers searching for another able actress to play the role, but it didn't take much time of makers to find the leading lady to star opposite Ranveer. Mumbai, April 15 - After the good 5-day holiday period, Sunny Deol-fronted action drama Jaat has witnessed a good hold on the make-or-break first Tuesday at the domestic box office, which has put it on course to emerge as a success. ## The movie has witnessed a drop of around 20% on the first Tuesday (day 6), which is well within the normal range after the holiday, as early estimates suggest collection to be in the range of 5.75-6.25 crores net collection. This has pushed the total around 53+ crores net in 6 days. ## Jaat is heading for an extended 8-day first week in the range of 60 crores, which is a good total.
