Mumbai, March 17 - Chinese mega-blockbuster Ne Zha 2 is showing no signs of slowing down and is continuing to score big at the China and global box office. The movie had already crossed $2 billion and now become the 5th biggest grosser ever worldwide. ## Made on a budget of $80 million, the animated blockbuster has overtaken Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.07 billion) to climb the 5th spot among the all-time biggest grossers globally. The movie has grossed $2.08+ billion, including $2.05 billion in China alone through Sunday (March 16).## The sequel is projected to finish its box office run with $2.10 billion in the home market. It is already the highest-grossing animated movie ever worldwide and the highest-grossing title in a single market. No other movie has ever topped $1 billion in a single market before with The Force Awakens being the previous biggest ($936 million in North America). ## James Cameron's Avatar continues to be the number 1 film worldwide with $2.92 billion, followed by Avengers: Endgame ($2.79 billion), Avatar: The Way of Water ($2.32 billion) and Titanic ($2.25 billion) as the next three, respectively. Ne Zha 2 is expected to finish with its current ranking. ## Ne Zha 2 is adapted from Chinese mythology stories and the 16th-century Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods (Fengshen Yanyi). Mumbai, March 17 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up to start shooting for director Siddharth Anand's action drama King in the next couple of months. It is the actor's first film since Dunki (2023) and his reunion with Anand after their mega-blockbuster Pathaan. ## After King, Shah Rukh Khan will start Pathaan 2 by the end of this year or early 2026. Now, according to the latest reports, the Badshah of Bollywood is in talks with Pushpa director Sukumar for a rural political action drama film and the actor has reportedly shown interest in it. ## SRK will reportedly play the anti-hero in the movie that promises to show him in a raw, rustic, and desi avatar that blends his mass appeal with his global superstar image. The movie will also explore social issues like caste and class oppression. ## While Jawan Star has shown his keenness to collaborate with Sukumar for the movie, it is not gonna start anytime soon. SRK has, at least, 2 films to shoot over the next couple of years and if he doesn't sign any other film, then it will be Sukumar's directorial sometime in 2027. Mumbai, March 17 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn will next be seen in the crime investigation thriller Raid 2, the sequel to his 2018 box office hit Raid. Raj Kumar Gupta directs the movie which also stars Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in prominent roles.## Raid 2 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Bollywood films. It is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2025, and according to the latest reports, the trailer of the film will be launched on Ajay Devgn's birthday which is on April 2. ## Starting with the teaser/trailer, the movie will have a month-long promotional campaign which should be enough for it which is already looking like a potential blockbuster. Raid 2 is a proper commercial flick with mass appeal and the franchise value is a big advantage. ## Produced by Panorama Studios and T-Series, Raid 2 will explore a 100-crore tax evasion case involving a businessman. Hyderabad, March 16 - The third instalment of superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa will be hitting cinemas worldwide in 2028, the makers confirmed on Sunday. The second part, Pushpa 2 - The Rule, which was released in December last year, emerged as one of the biggest Indian blockbusters at the worldwide box office with a gross collection of nearly 1750 crores. ## During the media interaction, producer Ravi Shankar confirmed that the third instalment, which is titled Pushpa 3 - The Rampage, will come out sometime in 2028. The filmmaker also revealed that Allu Arjun will next be doing director Atlee, followed by Trivikram's film and both will be completed in the next 2 years. ## Meanwhile, Pushpa director Sukumar will be directing superstar Ram Charan in his next before starting work on Pushpa 3, as confirmed by producer Ravi Shankar. So, there will be, at least, three films by Allu Arjun and Sukumar separately before they join forces again for the final saga of the Pushpa franchise. ## The Pushpa franchise kicked off in 2021 with Pushpa - The Rise which grossed over 350 crores worldwide and was the highest-grossing Indian film of the year. 3 years later, the second part of the movie hit the screens and took the box office by storm with a record-breaking opening to the third biggest Indian grosser of all time. Mumbai, March 15 - Yash Raj Films has officially confirmed the release date of the highly-anticipated spy action thriller War 2 amid the rumours of its postponement. There were rumours that it might get postponed but the studio has put them to rest once and for all. ## Starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, War 2 will hit the big screens on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages. Interestingly, this is the first time YRF has announced the War 2 release date on its social media platforms. Earlier, the studio confirmed the same through media and trade. ## The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra. Mumbai, March 15 - Dharma Productions' much-awaited romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is gearing up for its grand release this October. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, along with Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf. ## The makers recently announced on social media that SSKTK will now be released in cinemas worldwide on October 2, 2025. Originally, it was scheduled to be released on April 18, before getting postponed to September, and it will be hitting the big screens on the Gandhi Jayanti holiday. ## The movie, which wrapped filming on August 22, will clash with Rishabh Shetty's much-awaited Kantara: Chapter 1. Kochi, March 15 - Superstar Mohanlal's much-awaited Empuraan is hot in the market ahead of its worldwide release on March 27. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the action drama has been in the news lately for various reasons but all have been fixed now for a smooth release.## Empuraan is easily the biggest Malayalam film with huge hype around it, and considering that, the makers are treating the film in that way. Kochi, March 15 - After weeks of suspense and uncertainty, one of the biggest Malayalam films, superstar Mohanlal-fronted action thriller Empuraan is set to storm the big screen on March 27, as originally scheduled in multiple languages.## As reported earlier, there was uncertainty over the release date of the film due to the internal tussle between Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions. It was reported that Aashirvad wanted the other studio to exit the film on its terms but Lyca disagreed for the same. ## Now, as per the latest development, Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies has stepped in to solve the issue and it is said that the studio has replaced Lyca as it has paid the required amount to get all the rights from the Tamil production house. ## Meanwhile, the upcoming posters of Empuraan will still reportedly feature Lyca. The official announcement with new changes is expected to be dropped by today evening. Mumbai, March 14 - Legendary Amitabh Bachchan impressed one and all with his performance in director Nag Ashwin's epic Kalki 2898 AD which was released last year. The Bollywood veteran played the role of an immortal warrior Ashwatthama and his character will have a bigger impact in Kalki 2. ## There have been many reports regarding the shooting timeline of the Kalki 2898 AD sequel and according to the latest report by Mid-Day, Big B is set to start filming for the movie in May this year. It will have a month-long schedule and he will rejoin the filming with other actors later.## Kalki 2 will mainly focus on the conflict between Prabhas' Bhairava, Big B's Ashwatthama and Kamal Haasan's supreme Yaskin.
