Mumbai, January 24 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's war action drama Sky Force has taken a good double-digit opening which is a rarity for the actor these days. The opening, however, is largely fueled by the highly discounted ticket prices, an uncommon strategy adopted to bring the audience to cinemas in large numbers. ## The strategy of giving massive discounts on tickets has expectedly worked in the favor of the movie as early estimates suggest opening in the range of 11-11.50 crores net collection. It might go higher which needs to be seen by tomorrow morning. The good thing is that the prices will continue to be low throughout the weekend, so a big jump is expected on Saturday followed by Sunday which is Republic Day. ## To have a practice of giving big discounts is not beneficial in the long run, but this move is working as of now, as word of mouth for the film is highly positive and due to higher audience turnaround, it is expected to spread faster and hopefully, will benefit the movie when normal rates come into effect.## Sky Force will certainly have a good weekend with these low ticket rates and will set the tone for possibly a good outing during weekdays. Mumbai, January 24 - One of the Bollywood films that is eagerly awaited is the Hrithik Roshan-fronted superhero film Krrish 4. It was announced many moons back but due to various reasons, including the Covid-19 pandemic. Things have moved rapidly over the last couple of years regarding the script but still, all is not well for the movie. ## In a recent interaction with Movie Talkies, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan provided a much-awaited update on Krrish 4. When asked about the film, the filmmaker said that it will happen for sure as the script is finally ready, but the budget is a major concern. ## Rakesh Roshan revealed that the movie's scale is huge which requires a massive budget. The Karan Arjun director doesn't want to compromise with the scale of the movie as he said that if he cut the budget, it would massively the storyline, something he doesn't want to do. He said that he would start Krrish 4 only after he gets the required budget and scale right. ## There have been rumours that Krrish 4 will bring back the character of Jaado and when asked about the same, Rakesh Roshan refused to reveal anything about the plot as of now. However, he is happy with the script and idea for the movie and promised to roll it out soon. ## Hrithik, meanwhile, has been shooting for the highly-awaited Pan India movie War 2, also starring Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani. Hyderabad, January 24 - Superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has had a dream run at the box office and has completed 50 days since its debut on December 5 last year. The Sukumar's directorial is closing in its box office journey but not before rewriting history. ## Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the second part of the Pushpa series has grossed over 1736 crores worldwide, including over 1466 crores in India and over 270 crores at the overseas box office in 50 days so far and emerged as an all-time blockbuster. ## The film will finish as the third highest-grossing Indian movie of all time at the worldwide box office, behind only Baahubali 2 (1790 crores approx.) and Dangal (2070 crores approx.). Pushpa 2 - The Rule headed to finish under 1750 crores worldwide with approximately 6.25 crores domestic footfalls.## In the dubbed Hindi version, however, from the record-breaking opening to breaching 100 crores gross single day mark to become the biggest Hindi grosser, the movie has shattered every record and set a new benchmark for the upcoming films. Mumbai, January 24 - After the historic success of Gadar 2, Bollywood star Sunny Deol teamed up with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni for mass entertainer Jaat which is the director's maiden Bollywood project. Telugu giant Mythri Movie Makers produces the film with People Media Factory. ## On Friday (January 24), the makers announced the release date of this much-awaited action drama. It has been confirmed that Jaat will hit the big screen on April 10 this year in Hindi and the dubbed versions of Telugu and Tamil. ## It is to be noted that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's highly-awaited courtroom comedy drama Jolly LLB 3 is scheduled for an April 11 release and if things remain unchanged, it will be the second round of epic box office clash between Akshay and Sunny after 2023's Gadar 2 and OMG 2. ## The plot details of Jaat have been kept under wraps but it is said that Sunny will be up against 5 antagonists in the movie. Mumbai, January 22 - Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2018 mega-blockbuster historical drama Padmaavat is all set to re-release in cinemas on January 24, the makers announced officially on Wednesday. ## Padmaavat is based on the epic poem of the same name by Malik Muhammad Jayasi. It stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, a Sinhalese-born Rajput queen, wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh, played by Shahid Kapoor. Ranveer Singh played the villain as Alauddin Khilji. ## Rani Padmavati was known for her beauty and when Khilji heard about her beauty, he attacked her kingdom to enslave her. To protect the dignity and honour from the hands of Khilji and his army, Padmavati along with her companions committed Jauhar (self-immolation) thereby defeating Khalji's aim. ## Padmaavat, produced by Bhansali Productions, was a huge box office success in its original run with a worldwide gross collection of 585 crores, including 400 crores gross domestically. Mumbai, January 22 - Vicky Kaushal's historical action drama Chhaava is one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies of the year. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is based on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. ## Produced by Maddock Films, Chhaava is scheduled to be released on February 14 worldwide, and the studio has partnered with industry giant Yash Raj Films to release the movie internationally. Hyderabad, January 22 - Pan India superstar Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin teamed up for the first time last year in the form of sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD. The film was one of the biggest hits of the year with a worldwide gross collection of over 1000 crores. ## Kalki 2898 AD ended with an exciting cliffhanger which raised curiosity for the second part of the franchise. As the fans are waiting for Kalki 2, the buzz for the movie is naturally strong and the latest update will surely keep the excitement soaring as the shoot date is locked for the second part. ## It is learned that some parts of Kalki 2 have already been filmed with the first part, and producer Ashwini Dutt confirmed in a recent interview that Kalki 2 will go on to the sets this June. Mumbai, January 20 - After the success of romantic-comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya last year, Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor returns to the big screen with director Rosshan Andrrews' action thriller Deva which is scheduled to be released on January 31. ## The film has been making the right noise ahead of its release with whatever content has been released so far. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to deliver a perfect action thriller, and in this process, the director has shot multiple climax scenes to keep the secrecy. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, three climaxes of the film have been shot and one of them will be locked in the final edit which is known to only the ones in the top tier of filmmaking. "Since Deva is a thriller about a murder that has taken place, it's crucial to avoid leaks. The team came up with the idea of shooting for three different climaxes, have three different versions on who is the killer", says the report. ## The makers have done well so far to keep the suspense intact while keeping the audience excited with the release of a well-cut teaser and trailer as well as songs.
