Chennai, October 1 - Thalapathy Vijay is gearing up to commence the final film before his political entry. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, the movie was officially announced recently with H. Vinoth getting the chance to direct arguably the biggest superstar of Tamil cinema. ## The leading Kannada production house, KVN Productions is making its debut in Tamil cinema with T69 and the studio announced on October 1 that the cast of the film will be announced over the next three days. Meanwhile, ahead of the official confirmation, some of the names have already been revealed. ## According to the latest Tamil media reports, Pooja Hegde has been cast to play the female lead, reuniting with Vijay after Beast (2022). Bollywood star Bobby Deol, who has been making noise since Animal, has also reportedly been roped in to play a crucial role. ## The latest Malayalam sensation, Mamitha Baiju, who shot to fame with the blockbuster Premalu, is also reportedly confirmed to join the cast along with Prakash Raj while Priyamani is also said to be a part of the cast. Meanwhile, there have been reports that Samantha Ruth Prabhu would play a female lead but the same is not confirmed by reliable sources. ## The shoot of T69 will commence in a few days. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music for the film which marks his 5th movie with Thalapathy Vijay. Mumbai, October 1 - In one of the biggest news, it was recently revealed that Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor would be headlining Yash Raj Films' 4th instalment of the hugely-anticipated action thriller Dhoom franchise, stepping into playing the anti-hero role which has been the USP of the franchise. ## Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, Vijay Krishna Acharya has been finalized to direct Dhoom 4. Vijay aka Victor has written the story and screenplay of the previous three films of the franchise and went on to direct Dhoom 3 (2013) which is also the highest-grossing film in the series.## It is said that Victor has also written the script for Dhoom 4 and is now also on board to helm this one, as per the Bollywood Hungama report. Yash Raj Films is yet to officially confirm the development. ## Ranbir will play the anti-hero and it is said that none of the original cast will return as Dhoom 4 is a reboot in the literal sense. In the previous three films, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan took on the negative roles, respectively, which has been a driving force of the Dhoom franchise.## The makers looking to cast two young actors to replace Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra who have been a part of all three Dhoom films as cop baddies. Chennai, October 1 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time has set its streaming date after nearing the theatrical run. The movie has been a box office success as one of the highest-grossing Tamil films with approximately 450 crores gross collection. ## Like most Tamil films, The GOAT has a 4-week theatrical window, which has kept them without multiplex release in Hindi versions. As per the latest update, the movie will start streaming on Netflix from October 3 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada, languages.## The GOAT is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. It was released on September 6 and scored one of the biggest openings for a Tamil title with over 100 crore gross. It turned out to be a massive blockbuster in the home state, Tamil Nadu with over 215 crores gross, making it the biggest grosser ever in the state. ## It is the twenty-fifth production of the studio and the penultimate film of Vijay before his political entry. Hyderabad, September 30 - After the superb opening weekend of approximately 190 crores gross, superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara: Part 1 witnessed the first major drop of over 60% on its first Monday which was a working day. ## In Telugu states, Devara is expected to gross in the range of 7-8 crore on its 4th day, as per estimates while in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, the movie is expected to score 2 crore gross. It is once again the North belt which is holding well as the movie is expected to gross 5-6 crores in this region. ## The dubbed Hindi version of Devara has a good hold for an estimated 3.50-4 crores net collection. Overall, the movie is expected to gross 14-15 crores (12-13 crores net) collection on Monday, pushing its total to over 200 crores gross at around 204 crores (173 crores net) in 4 days, per estimates. ## The Hindi version is heading towards success after scoring an estimated 31 crore net (36+ crores gross) in 4 days. Hyderabad, September 29 - Superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara: Part 1 clocked in a huge approximately 190 crores gross in its domestic opening weekend after the superb first Sunday collection with a decent jump over Saturday figures. ## In Telugu states, Devara showed a good hold on Sunday with a slight jump for an estimated 26 crores gross. In Karnataka, the movie is expected to gross in the range of 5.50-6 crore while in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, around 2.50 crore gross is expected. ## It was once again the Hindi belt which witnessed a jump as word of mouth continued to spread in mass centres. Devara is estimated to gross in the range of 13 crores in North India as the Hindi version is looking to score 10.50-11 crores net with a good jump of over 15% from Saturday. ## Overall, Devara is expected to gross in the range of 47-48 crores (40+ crores net) on its third day/first Sunday at the domestic box office in all versions. There is a chance of the collection going further depending on the mass centres. ## Word of mouth is mixed for Devara as it is heading to the crucial weekdays which will determine its biz. Mumbai, September 29 - The second inning of folk horror comedy Tumbbad continues to get longer at the box office despite the competition. The movie has a good third-weekend collection which takes its total to around 50 crores gross (including the original run). ## Tumbbad re-released had an increased competition this weekend in the form of Jr. NTR-fronted Devara - Part 1 which was easily the number 1 at the Hindi box office. Despite that, the Rahi Anil Barve's directorial has done well to score around 2.60 crores net collection in the third weekend. ## On its third Friday, the movie minted approximately 55 lakh before jumping on Saturday for around 1 crore net. Tumbbad is having a good Sunday with approximately 1.10 crore net collection, pushing the total re-release cume of the movie to around 27+ crore net (32+ crore gross) in 17 days. ## Including the film's original collection of 16 crores gross (13.50 crores net), Tumbbad's worldwide gross total stands at 48+ crores gross (40.50+ crores net). Chennai, September 29 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time has slowed down at the box office, but not before emerging as a success and creating an all-time record in the home state, Tamil Nadu.## Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT has become the highest-grossing movie in Tamil Nadu, beating Thalapathy Vijay's Leo which grossed approximately 215+ crores in the state. It has crossed Leo's collection on its 25th day (4th Sunday). ## On its 4th Thursday (22nd day), The GOAT outgrossed Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1's 213 crores gross collection in the state. It has been a sensational blockbuster in Tamil Nadu as well as the overseas box office despite the mixed reviews. ## The AGS Entertainment production has grossed 448 crores at the worldwide box office, including approximately 292.25 crores in India and 155.75 crores overseas through 4th Saturday (24 days). It will be around 450 crores gross by the end of the day and is looking to finish its run at around 455 crores gross.## The GOAT is the 5th highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time globally, after Robot 2.0, Leo, Jailer, and Ponniyin Selvan - 1, and will finish with the same position. Mumbai, September 29 - Recently, Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi ignited a controversy after commenting on the characterization of Prabhas in the magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD. While the movie was a massive box office success, Warsi said that he didn't like Prabhas's look or the movie. ## "Maine Kalki dekhi, mujhe toh nhi acchi lagi. Mujhe bahut takleef hoti hai jab (I watched Kalki and didn't like it. It hurts me when)... Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he... he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. What have you made of it? Why do they do such things? I never understand", the actor had said in a podcast interview.## While director Nag Ashwin took Arshad's comments sportingly and promised to come up with a better version of Prabhas in Kalki 2, the fans of the superstar called out the Jolly LLB actor for allegedly disrespecting him. Now, after a month, Arshad has responded to the controversy. He said that Prabhas is a very good actor but it was disappointing to see him in Kalki 2898 AD.## "Everybody has their point of view and people like to interpret noise.
