Mumbai, September 9 - After months of speculations, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has officially reunited with director Priyadarshan for a fantasy horror-comedy film. The movie, produced by Ekta Kapoor and Akshay, has been titled Bhooth Bangla.## The film's official announcement came on Akshay Kumar's birthday on September 9. The makers unveiled the movie's title with the first-look poster which features Akshay Kumar drinking milk in a cup with a black cat on his shoulders. Mumbai, September 8 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's mega-blockbuster Stree 2 continues to run riot at the box office even in its 4th week. The lack of strong competition is proving to be a one-horse race for this horror-comedy sequel.## After crossing 500 crores net in 3 weeks (22 days), Stree 2 carried the momentum to score the biggest 4th weekend in Hindi after minting 23.50+ crores net collection. The movie crossed the double-digit mark again on Sunday, which took its total collection to around 527 crores net in 25 days.## After the 4th weekend, Stree 2 has become the second-highest net-grossing film of all time in Hindi, beating Gadar 2 (525.70 crores) and Pathaan (524.50 crores). Chennai, September 8 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time scored an excellent first weekend at the box office with 160+ crores gross in India. This is by far the biggest opening weekend for a Tamil title of 2024 and one of the biggest of all time. ## The Venkat Prabhu's directorial is showing a fantastic hold everywhere, especially in the home state, Tamil Nadu, and the overseas territories. The first Sunday domestic collection of The GOAT remained flat, but still huge by every means with an estimated 40 crores gross (34 crores net) in all versions.## The total domestic collection of The GOAT is around 161 crores gross (137 crores net), per estimates. In Tamil Nadu, the movie remained rock solid and has crossed 100 crores gross in just 4 days. Per estimates, the movie is expected to score 27-28 crores gross on Sunday, for 105+ crores in 4 days in the state. ## The opening weekend collection of The GOAT was solely shouldered by the stardom of Thalapathy Vijay and the real test for the movie will be on Monday as the word of mouth is mixed. Chennai, September 8 - Thalapthy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time had a sensational third at the worldwide box office. The movie, despite the mixed reviews, is being massively driven by the stardom of Vijay at the box office. ## Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT scored approximately 66 crores gross globally, including 39 crores in India on its third day/first Saturday. With this, the total worldwide collection of the movie is 221+ crores gross after three days which is the highest for a Tamil movie of 2024. ## The GOAT, however, became the biggest Tamil grosser of the year on its second day itself after beating Dhanush-fronted action thriller Raayan which grossed approximately 154 crores worldwide. The Vijay-starrer blockbuster grossed 155 crores in 2 days. ## The AGS Entertainment production is performing exceptionally well, both at the domestic and overseas box office. Chennai, September 7 - Thalapathy Vijay's stardom is full on display at the box office as his latest blockbuster The Greatest of All Time is putting up a sensational show despite the mixed reviews and word of mouth from audiences. ## After the fantastic first 2 days at the domestic box office, The GOAT showed a very good jump of around 25% on Saturday for an estimated 37-38 crores gross collection (32-33 crores net) in all versions. The movie continues to score excellently in Tamil Nadu while other states remain on a decent level. ## In Tamil Nadu, The GOAT is expected to score 25-27 crores gross collection on its third day which takes its total collection to 76+ crores gross in the state. Mumbai, September 7 - 2023 was the year completely dominated by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan with three big box office blockbusters. It all began with his comeback film, Pathaan before Jawan outdid it with its phenomenal performance, followed by the third success of the year in the form of Dunki. ## Pathaan redefined the stardom of Shah Rukh Khan by becoming his first 1000 crores gross grosser before director Atlee's Jawan took it to the next level and turned out to be one of the biggest Pan India blockbusters of all time. Jawan has turned a year old after getting unleashed at the box office on this day (September 7) last year.## The action thriller was one of the first major collaborations between a South Indian director and a Bollywood superstar in recent times, and this collaboration turned out to be one of the most talked about for redefining the mass genre in Indian cinema. It was mounted on a huge scale and featured many mass moments to turn the theatres into stadiums.## Jawan was a box office phenomenon from day 1 and it broke several records in India and overseas. As said, it scored the biggest opening (75 crores net) for a Bollywood film, followed by the biggest first week of all time for Bollywood and one of the biggest in Hindi.## The box office juggernaut of the movie continued beyond the first week and eventually turned out to be the biggest Bollywood blockbuster domestically. In the original Hindi language, it is the highest-grossing movie ever with 582 crores net collection (687 crores gross) while its worldwide collection is 1160 crores gross. ## Jawan is the second highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide of all time after Dangal which grossed approximately 1300 crores in China out of its 2070 crores worldwide cume. Apart from the performance of the star cast and Atlee's direction, the film's major highlight was Anirudh's music which elevated the scenes perfectly. ## As said, the extraordinary performance of Jawan (along with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal with Sandeep Reddy Vanga) opened the door for more collaboration between South Indian filmmakers and Bollywood stars as this is being seen as a major success formula at the box office. Chennai, September 6 - After the sensational opening day collection, Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time sees a drop of around 35% on its second day which is a regular drop for a South Indian movie after the huge start. ## The concerning thing for the movie, however, is the heavy drop outside Tamil Nadu in states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Karnataka while the rest of the Indian market is also witnessing a drop. In the home state, Tamil Nadu, The GOAT has a good hold though with a drop of around 30%. ## According to early estimates, The GOAT is expected to score 21-23 crores gross collection in Tamil Nadu while the overall India gross is expected to be around 30 crores gross (25 crores net) in all versions on its second day/first Friday. Chennai, September 6 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time has had a sensational opening at the worldwide box office with 100 crores gross collection, making it only the second Tamil movie of all time to do so, after Leo.## Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT scored approximately 52 crores gross collection in India and 48 crores overseas for 100 crores gross start. This is the second biggest opening for a Tamil title at the worldwide box office after Thalapathy Vijay's Leo which grossed approx. 142 crores. ## The GOAT is the 12th Indian movie to take the opening of 100 crores or more globally, and it is the 9th South Indian film to do so.
