Mumbai, July 1 - After the fantastic opening weekend, Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD put up an excellent hold on its first Monday in the dubbed Hindi version with a drop of just around 20% from the opening day, Thursday. ## The Nag Ashwin's directorial blockbuster shows the power of super positive word of mouth as it scores an estimated 16.50-17.50 crores net collection. This takes the total Hindi collection of the film to around 128 crores in just 5 days as the first full week is heading for 160+ crores net. ## Despite coming after an extended weekend, the superb hold on Monday, be it single screens or multiplexes indicates a long run for the movie and with the current trend, it will reach 200 crores net in the second weekend itself. Thanks to its sensational run so far, it will beat all but Baahubali 2, RRR, and KGF 2 by the end of the first week to emerge as the 4th highest-grossing South Indian movie in Hindi. ## Apart from Hindi, Kalki 2898 AD also scored a decent hold in the other versions as all versions are estimated to be 40+ crores gross on the first Monday. After today's collection, Kalki has surpassed 400 crores gross in India at an estimated around 410 crores. Mumbai, July 1 - Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu's romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which is scheduled to release on July 5, is likely to be postponed to later this month due to the lack of buzz and the super success of Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD. ## While the official announcement is yet to be made, according to Pinkvilla, AMKDT will now be released on July 26 and will clash with the highly-anticipated Hollywood movie, Deadpool & Wolverine. Director Neeraj Pandey and the team are expected to make the official announcement soon. ## AMKDT despite featuring a top star cast with a proven filmmaker failed to generate enough buzz and now with Kalki 2898 AD also having an excellent run in Hindi, the makers have reportedly concluded that it would be better to postpone the film rather than pitching it against Kalki. ## Produced by Friday Filmworks in association with NH Studioz, and Panorama Studios, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha also stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Saiee Manjrekar playing pivotal roles. Mumbai, July 1 - For the last couple of weeks, Tamil director Atlee's next film is making waves in media headlines. The filmmaker was supposed to collaborate with superstar Allu Arjun but the latter opted out due to some reasons known to them only. ## After Allu Arjun's exit, Atlee reportedly approached Bollywood superstar Salman Khan for the same and the actor was said to have loved the idea. It was revealed the script demands a two-hero spectacle and for the same, the filmmaker was rumoured to be in talks with superstar Rajinikanth to join Salman. ## Now, there is a new twist in the tale. According to the report by Pinkvilla, it is not Rajinikanth but legendary Kamal Haasan in talks to headline this mega-budget entertainer with Salman Khan, and for that things are moving in the right direction. ## "Both Kamal Haasan and Salman Khan have loved the idea that Atlee is working on and are excited for this collaboration. It's a yes in principle, however, the paperwork shall happen once they hear the complete narration later this month", says the report. ## Atlee last directed Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Jawan which was a massive blockbuster with a worldwide collection of over 1000 crores gross. Mumbai, October 9 - Maverick director SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion set the benchmark for not just Telugu cinema but also in the Hindi and rest of the versions. It was the last film to sell over 5 crores tickets in Hindi. Baahubali 2 was only the second South Indian film, after Baahubali, to reach 100 crores net mark in Hindi. While no other film could come close to the footfalls benchmark set by BB2, nearly a dozen South Indian films have managed to breach 100 crores net mark in Hindi, with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule went on to become, not the biggest dubbed grosser, but also the biggest Hindi net grosser of all-time with over 800 crores. The latest South Indian film to join the 100 crores net club in Hindi is Rishab Shetty's Kannada blockbuster Kantara Chapter 1, which is the prequel to 2022's Kantara. The period folk action thriller has topped the milestone in 7 days, becoming the second Kannada movie and 11th South Indian title to do so in Hindi. So far, 11 South Indian movies have topped 100 crores net at the Hindi box office, and 8 of them are Telugu movies, while 2 films are Kannada origin and one is a Tamil title. New Delhi, July 1 - After the dull first 5 months, the Punjabi film industry finally has a box office hit as Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa's romantic-comedy Jatt and Juliet 3 has had an excellent extended opening weekend worldwide. ## The third instalment of the blockbuster franchise scored the biggest opening weekend ever for a Punjabi movie with approximately 48.10 crores at the worldwide box office. It has beaten Carry On Jatta 3 which had grossed approximately 44.50 crores in the opening weekend in 2023. ## Jatt and Juliet 3 minted approximately 19.60 crores in India and 28.50 crores in international markets. In India, J&J3 remained behind COJ3's opening weekend but thanks to the sensational overseas debut, it topped the biggest weekend for a Punjabi title. ## Jatt and Juliet 3 was up against Pan India monster Kalki 2898 AD which conquered the domestic and the overseas box office this weekend and this has probably kept J&J3 below the 50 crores worldwide weekend mark. Chennai, July 1 - As Thalapathy Vijay is gearing up for the release of The Greatest of All Time, preparations are being made for his 69th film which will be his last movie before he fully centres his focus on his political career. ## There hasn't been made official yet about Thalapathy 69, but as per reliable reports, the movie will be directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is said to be the female lead and it will mark her reunion with Vijay after Kaththi (2014), Theri (2016), and Mersal (2017). ## The shoot of T69 will commence later this year before the 2025 release. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music for the film which marks his 5th movie with Thalapathy Vijay. He has been the most sought-after music composer at the moment across languages.## Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest of All Time - GOAT is scheduled to release on September 5. Hyderabad, July 1 - Kalki 2898 AD is an unstoppable force at the box office and has topped 500 crores worldwide in the opening weekend, exceeding all expectations despite being a mid-week release in India as well as internationally. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic was all in its box-office glory and finished the opening weekend with an estimated 130+ crores gross on Sunday globally and this takes its total collection past 500 crores. It has also become Prabhas' 4th highest-grossing movie ever in just 4 days, behind Baahubali 2, Baahubali, and Salaar: Ceasefire.## In India, the movie has minted an estimated 370 crores gross while the overseas collection is approximately 145 crores, for 515 crores worldwide total. As said, Kalki 2898 AD is the 6th Indian movie, after Baahubali 2, RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Pathaan, and Jawan to score 500 crores or more in the first weekend (including the extended weekend). ## After Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Prabhas becomes the third Indian actor to deliver 500 crores worldwide opening weekend grosser as a lead actor. Mumbai, July 1 - In no time, Pan India superstar Prabhas has another movie in the 100 crores net club in Hindi.## The sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has become the 6th film and third consecutive for the Baahubali star to achieve the milestone of 100 crores net in the dubbed version. The movie took just 4 days to enter the coveted box office club. ## The sensational blockbuster scored an estimated 39 crores net on Sunday which takes its total collection to over 111 in Hindi. In terms of days taken to reach 100 crores Hindi net, Kalki 2898 AD is the 26th fastest to do so. ## The list of the fastest films in 100 crores net club includes 5 movies in 2 days, 15 movies in 3 days, and 9 movies in 4 days. Kalki has surpassed the 4-day collection of Dunki (105.60 crores), Golmaal Again (103.60 crores), Krrish 3 (101.50 crores), and Raees (101.40 crores). ## As said, it is the 6th movie of Prabhas, after Baahubali, Baahubali 2, Saaho, Adipurush, and Salaar to reach 100 crores net in Hindi. Los Angeles, July 1 - It's raining records for Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD which has scored the biggest opening weekend for an Indian movie in North America as it entered in the top 10 highest-grossing Indian film there, according to trade analyst Luiz Fernando. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD scored an estimated $11.2 million (93.35 crores) in the 4-day opening weekend+Wednesday previews and is now the 8th biggest Indian title there after beating Salaar: Ceasefire's $8.90 million, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's $10.6 million, and PK's $10.60 million entire run there. ## Kalki 2898 AD will next surpass Padmaavat ($12.20 million) and Dangal ($12.40 million) in the next couple of days as the 6th highest-grossing Indian title in North America. The movie will aim to enter the top 5 by next weekend and will eventually look to finish in the top 3, possibly as the biggest Indian grosser there at the end of its run. ## In the top 10 weekend grosser in North America, Kalki 2898 AD opened at number 5, beating Hollywood titles - The Garfield Movie ($2 million) and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes ($1.7 million). Mumbai, June 30 - All hell loose as Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD hits the ball out of the park on its first Sunday as the movie is showing a jump of around 40% in the dubbed Hindi version which is phenomenal as Saturday was itself huge with approximately 26 crores net collection. ## The collection on Saturday was affected by the final of the T20 World Cup to some extent but Sunday made up for the lost ground. As said, Kalki 2898 stormed past the 100 crores net mark in the 4-day extended weekend after an estimated 38-40+ crores net (45-47+ crores gross) on its first Sunday for a total of around 110 crores net (~130 crores gross) in Hindi. ## The Hindi version collection is strong everywhere, be it in mass centres or multiplex and the trend is such that it will score well during the weekdays as there were some capacity issues at some places which are expected to come good in the coming days.## Apart from Hindi, the rest of the other versions were also firing all calendars on Sunday as the overall collection is flirting with 100 crores gross as estimates suggest 95-105 crores for all versions today and it could higher depending on South versions. If the Sunday estimates hold, the movie will touch 300+ crores net (355+ crores gross) in the 4-day opening weekend. ## The worldwide collection of the movie is, at least, 485+ crores gross in 4 days with a high possibility of crossing 500 crores when the actual overseas collection is made official tomorrow. Mumbai, June 30 - Disney's Pixar mega-blockbuster Inside Out 2 has become the fastest animated movie ever to cross $1 billion at the worldwide box office, taking just 19 days to reach the milestone where only 52 movies could reach before. ## The summer blockbuster added another $165+ million worldwide in the 3rd weekend, pushing global telly to $1.015 billion (8460 crores), including $469.3 million (3910 crores) in North America and $545.5 million (4550 crores) through Sunday (19 days). ## IO2 is the 11th animated movie of all time to achieve the feat of $1 billion globally. It is also the first movie since Margot Robbie's Barbie last year to hit the milestone. Among the 11 animated movies in the billion-dollar club, Disney has 8 movies. ## The blockbuster sequel has topped Disney's Frozen 2 which took 25 days to reach the $1 billion mark worldwide.
