Manushi Chhillar To Reunite With Akshay Kumar For 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' Also Starring Tiger Shroff

Mumbai, November 26 - The highly-anticipated action-comedy Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, is getting ready to kickstart shooting in January 2023. Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial was announced earlier this year with an action-packed promo. ## Now, according to a report in Pinkvilla, former Miss World, Manushi Chhillar has been roped in to play one of the female leads. Produced by Pooja Entertainment, BMCM will reportedly feature three actresses and Janhvi Kapoor is reportedly the second lead, as reported previously. ## Manushi Chhillar marked her Bollywood debut in "Samrat Prithviraj" opposite Akshay Kumar, and now, the talented actress is set to reunite with the Khiladi of Bollywood. The pre-production work is already in full swing and the makers have already locked shooting locations in India and abroad. ## "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" is expected to go on floors on January 15 in India, followed by the international leg of the film. The team will be shooting it at multiple locations across the globe over a period of 100 days and it is scheduled to release on Christmas 2023 in multiple languages.## Manushi, on the other hand, also has "Tehran" opposite John Abraham. Box Office: Bhediya First Saturday/Second Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 26 - Bhediya which had decent first-day collections saw growth of around 30% on the second day which is a good sign. The growth, however, looks less due to the first day being decent only and if this growth was to come after a double-digit opening then this growth would have been good. ## The first Saturday collections of "Bhediya" flirting with 10 crores net mark, as per the early estimates and this is the best-case scenario. The film somehow gets impacted by Drishyam 2 which is just simply running riot at the box office. The first Saturday collections will take the entire box office collections of Bhediya to just a little less than the 17.50cr net mark. It should hit the 15cr mark in the worst case tomorrow to out a healthy first-weekend collection. ## The mass centers are doing good but the main problem is urban centers where Drishyam 2 seems the only choice for moviegoers. The reports of the film are mixed and that also is one of the reasons for the average business in the first two days. There were expectations that the film will slow down in the second week due to Bhediya but that proved wrong and how. Drishyam2 is putting similar collections on the second Saturday compared to the first Friday suggesting that the film remained unaffected.## "Drishyam 2" is flirting with 15 crores net on its second Saturday as per the early estimates. Prabhas, Kriti Sanon's Magnum Opus 'Adipurush' To Be Delayed To 2024?

Mumbai, November 26 - A lot has changed since the release of the teaser of Prabhas-fronted Adipurush and it looks like there is a lot yet to change. The teaser, which was launched in early October, got mixed to negative responses which forced the makers to take a step back and re-work the quality of the movie. ## It was recently revealed that the movie would not able to meet its original release date of January 12, 2023, and would be delayed, which the makers officially confirmed and announced June 16, 2023, release. However, as per the latest reports, "Adipurush" will be further delayed as the makers are re-working on the entire VFX shots. ## It is said that the budget of "Adipurush" will be increased by approx. 100 crores and the release might get delayed to Sankranthi 2024. It was supposed to be Prabhas' next release, but now, it seems his action thriller "Salaar" with director Prashanth Neel will be hitting theaters first. ## "Salaar", produced by Hombale Films, was announced for September 28, 2023, release and it is very much on track to meet the date without any issues. There is, however, not yet confirmed whether "Adipurush" would actually be delayed or not as there are no official words from people associated with this magnum opus. ## Prabhas, meanwhile, has his hands full of blockbuster titles. Box Office: Bhediya Opening Day/First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 25 - The big release of this week "Bhediya" starring Varun Dhawan has been released in theaters today. The film has seen a big release on approx more than 2500 screens though some Varun Dhawan starters had gone higher in screens compared to Bhediya. The morning start of the film was low and that proved to be a killer for the film. After the dull morning start, the film did see some walk-ins in subsequent screenings but it couldn't pick as the early estimates suggest around 7.50 crores net (final numbers may vary). The opening-day collections are decent but it would have been nice had it clicked a double-digit start. ## "Bhediya" had good hype and the response to the trailer was good too but it seems the film gets affected by the "Drishyam 2" wave and becomes the second choice for moviegoers. The critics' reviews are positive while the audience's word of mouth to mixed to positive.## Bhediya has to show big growth tomorrow and on Sunday to register healthy first-weekend numbers and a 30 crores weekend should be the bare minimum target for the film. The opening of the film is better than most big films considering the clash factor with an established film. Mumbai, November 25 - Drishyam 2 continues its blockbuster run at the box office. Once again the drop in the film will be less than 10% which is a huge achievement for any film in the second week. The second Friday collections of Drishyam2 will come out to be higher than many big films opening day collections.## The early estimate suggests around 8 crores net on the second Friday, which takes the entire collections of the film to over 112.50 crores net mark. The film is set for a big second-weekend number and it won't be surprising if Drishyam 2 collects better than Bhediya which is visible on day one as Drishyam2 will come out to be on a higher side compared to Bhediya despite being on the eighth day compared to the first day of Bhediya.## The film will see further growth tomorrow and eventually will fire on the second Sunday as this will be the first choice for moviegoers. A 30 crores second weekend will confirm that Drishyam2 is a blockbuster film. Mumbai, November 23 - Drishyam 2 continues its victory march at the box office with strong collections across all the circuits. Just like yesterday when the film had a negligible drop of around 10% today also the film witnessed a similar sort of drop which is extraordinary as in real terms the business has dropped due to lower average ticket prices. If we compare the number of admits then there is not much difference between the first-day admits and today's admits.## On its first Wednesday, "Drishyam 2" scored an estimated 9.25-9.75 crores net. A double-digit Wednesday cannot rule out too as the way the film has performed over the last few days these type of multiplex films generally does the highest business in night shows and if night shows outperform then 10 cr Wednesday won't be that hard. ## The first Wednesday collections will take the entire box office collections of Drishyam 2 to approx 96.25cr net box office mark depending on the actual Wednesday collections. The Cast For Akshay Kumar's Comedy Film With Mudassar Aziz Locked

Mumbai, November 23 - A few months ago, it was reported that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar would be teaming up with director Mudassar Aziz for a comedy-drama film, titled Khel Khel Mein. The yet-to-be-announced film will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.## While the movie is not yet made official, the makers have reportedly locked the rest of the cast alongside Akshay in prominent roles. According to Hindustan Times, Akshay's "Bell Bottom" (2021) co-star Vaani Kapoor, and also his "Naam Shabana" (2017) and "Mission Mangal" (2019) co-star Taapsee Pannu would be playing the female lead role.## In addition to this, the upcoming movie will also reportedly feature popular Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk in a prominent role. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan To Be Honored By Saudi Arabia's Red Sea International Film Festival

Mumbai, November 21 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to be honored by Saudi Arabia's Red Sea International Film Festival with an honorary award. ## The King Khan, who has been ruling the hearts for many years, has won most popular actor accolades three times at the Central European Bollywood Awards. The second edition of Red Sea will be held from December 1 to 10. ## "I am truly honored to receive this award from the Red Sea International Film Festival. It's wonderful to be here among my fans from Saudi and the region who have always been huge supporters of my films. I'm looking forward to celebrating the region's talent and being a part of this exciting film community", Shah Rukh Khan said.## On the work front, SRK will next be seen in director Siddharth Anand's spy action thriller Pathaan, co-starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone. Box Office: Drishyam 2 First Sunday/Third Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 20 - Drishyam 2, which had a bumper collection on the first two days, scores further big growth on the third day of its box office run. Yesterday, the film witnessed approx 40% growth compared to the first day while today it is in the range of 25% which is again an excellent number.## The first Sunday's early estimates collection suggests approx. 27 crores net. The first Sunday collections will take the entire collection of Drishyam 2 to over 63 crores net depending on the final official figures which will be known in the morning. The first three days' collections are huge for the Ajay Devgan starrer as the expectations were below 50 crores net mark but the film has surpassed that figure by a big margin. ## Drishyam 2 will be the third highest weekend of Ajay Devgn after "Golmaal Again" and "Singham Returns" both of which were national holiday-released films in pre-pandemic times. The first weekend collections have ensured that "Drishyam 2" is a hit but there is a difference between a hit and a major hit film and that Drishyam 2 has to prove from here on. The multiplexes continue to drive the film while single screens also contributed today better than all previous days.## The hold on Monday is going to be very important for the film and if the film manages to stay in double digits or close to it then the film will be a big grosser. Ideally, the film should target 85-90cr first week of business from here on which is not very tough looking at the audience appreciation. The film is also doing very fine business overseas as these type of thrillers does find some audience overseas.## Overall it's been a fantastic last two weeks at the box office with Uunchai and Drishyam2 and the hope is that Bhediya should continue the momentum from the next week onwards. Box Office: Drishyam 2 Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 19 - Drishyam 2, which provided a huge boost to the Hindi film industry on its opening day by clocking more than 15 crore net collections, has seen extraordinary growth on the second day. The growth was always expected due to the positive reports but such huge growth was not expected, which is in the range of 40-45% and it's not that the opening was low. ## If we compare the growth in the three main chains PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, then the film has shown a growth of 57% compared to the first day. Saturdays are the best days in the multiplexes despite that the jump is huge. The good thing is that the film is doing good business even on the single screens thanks to the face value of Ajay Devgan and the recall value of the first Drishyam film as the first part was a huge hit on satellite. ## The early estimate collections on the first Saturday/second day suggest approx. 21.25 crores net. The second day business of the film will take its entire business to over 36.50 cr. net mark. The film is set to see another big jump on Sunday due to a national holiday. It will look to target 25cr Sunday which is not much of an ask as reports are fantastic. The weekend should be in the range of 55-60cr and if the film archives it then it will be a rare film that will attain a hit tag within the first weekend only.## "Drishyam 2" continues to see huge footfalls in Mumbai and Gujarat while mass-dominated circuits like Rajasthan, Bihar, and Central India are doing decent business and they will get going from tomorrow onwards. Surprisingly, the film has also managed to put up a good number in overseas territories which is not the case with most Ajay Devgan starrers. Ram Setu Director Abhishek Sharma To Team Up With John Abraham For A Sci-fi Film

Mumbai, November 19 - Director Abhishek Sharma's last outing, "Ram Setu" starring Akshay Kumar didn't turn out as he would have hoped for. Though the movie managed to score around 100 crores worldwide, it was expected to do much better considering the fresh and intriguing subject.## Nonetheless, the talented filmmaker has moved on from the aforementioned film and now working to set his next, which is likely to be with John Abraham. The duo had previously collaborated on "Parmanu" (2018), which is considered one of the finest films in the careers of both and Abhishek is looking to take things a notch higher with his next collaboration with John. ## During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Abhishek Sharma revealed that he is discussing multiple subjects with John, and one of them is a science fiction film, titled Parlok. ## "Parlok is a science fiction film, a very different genre and in a new space. We have been waiting for the right time to make the film. It's a fantastic story we both want to tell. If you see, I have never worked on one genre consistently, and likewise, this is going to be a new world for me to explore as a director", Abhishek told.## The filmmaker further revealed that he wanted to make "Parlok" after "The Zoya Factor" (2019) but he picked Akshay Kumar's "Ram Setu", which received mixed to positive reviews. He said he has been working on "Parlok" with John for quite some time now and will take it on floors once they are ready with all their resources. Box Office: Drishyam 2 Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 18 - The big movie of the day, "Drishyam 2" starring Ajay Devgan has been released in theaters today. The film is a sequel to Drishyam which was released in 2015 and did very well at the box office. But more than the box office, its run on satellite has made the film into a cult film with excellent impressions. There was a brand value and then the trailer of the film received immensely positive feedback from its target audience, all this coupled with an excellent start at the box office which is very rare for Hindi films post the pandemic.## The film has been released on over 3300 screens making it one of the biggest releases ever of Ajay Devgan in terms of size. The film started with an average morning occupancy of around 20% which is much better than most of the films released so far in 2022. The morning start was comparable to "Ram Setu" which is the second biggest opener post-pandemic for Hindi films.## The opening day early estimates of "Drishyam 2" suggest around 15 crores net box office mark which is a very good first-day collection for a thriller movie in the post-pandemic times. There were expectations of a double-digit opening and Drishyam 2 has surpassed all expectations by a huge margin. There are chances of it topping "Ram Setu's" opening of 15.20 crores net if single screens perform very well. The film is expected to see good growth tomorrow. The mass centers will come into the picture on Sunday. Even if the film remains flat then also it has a chance of hitting 50cr weekend.
