Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders and Meer Foundation come forward to help West Bengal to overcome Amphan Cyclone
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises 'Kolkata Knight Riders' and his NGO 'Meer Foundation' have joined hand to help the people of West Bengal who recently got affected due to Amphan Cyclone which cost many lives. ## The Meer Foundation and KKR are committed to providing financial support to West Bengal CM Relief Fund. Under KKR's tree plantation initiative, the franchise will plant 5000 trees in the Kolkata city. ## Under the scheme of KKR Sahayta Vahan, ration and essential hygiene items will be distributed to the four most affected regions due to Amphan Cyclone - Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas, and East Medinipur. ## Taking to Twitter, the Meer Foundation stated, "@KKRiders and #MeerFoundation have stepped forward to help the people of West Bengal overcome the crisis due to the #AmphanCyclone. However, many people were already evacuated before the severe storm hit but still nearly 100 people lost their lives and many were injured badly. ## Stay tuned...
