The film was officially announced in November 2022, with Akshay Kumar in the extended role as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It was initially planned for the Diwali 2023 release, but the movie faced major production hurdles, which pushed the timeline indefinitely. Now, according to the latest report by Bollywood Hungama, the shoot of Veer Daudle Saat has been completed. After facing multiple delays and production hurdles over the past few years, the historical epic is now moving steadily into post-production, with the team eyeing a grand theatrical release on January 1, 2027.
