Chennai, November 19 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's action comedy Good Bad Ugly is one of the most anticipated Tamil movies of 2025. The film is directed by Adhik Ravichandran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. ## Good Bad Ugly has been eyeing Pongal 2025 release since its announcement and now, the same has reportedly been confirmed. According to the latest media reports, the makers have confirmed to the overseas distributors of the film that the movie will be released on January 10, 2025. ## The film will clash with Ram Charan's much-anticipated Game Changer, directed by S. Shankar which is also scheduled for January 10 release. Tamil star Vikram's Veera Dheera Sooran is also reportedly eyeing the same slot which is yet to be officially confirmed. ## Good Bad Ugly, meanwhile, marks the maiden collaboration of Ajith Kumar with director Adhik Ravichandran and Mythri Movie Makers. Los Angeles, November 19 - Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has topped $1 million in pre-sales at the North American box office with 16 days still left for the premiere which is scheduled on December 4. ## Prathyangira Cinemas is releasing the movie in North America and the studio claimed that it is the fastest Indian movie to hit $1 million in pre-sales for the premiere. The movie has sold over 35K tickets from over 3200 shows across around 850 locations so far. ## The pre-sales of Pushpa 2 opened with a bang before slowing down after a few days. It has started picking up again after the trailer which was launched on November 17 and received positive reception all around. The trade is expecting the pre-sales trend to further pick up in the coming days. ## The initial trend indicated that Pushpa 2 may score the biggest premiere for an Indian movie in North America and it can still manage to do that if momentum picks up which is being anticipated. Hyderabad, November 18 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule trailer, which was launched on November 17 in Patna, has generated over 100 million views across all languages on YouTube in the first 24 hours, becoming the third most watched Indian film trailer. ## The action-packed trailer scored a huge 49.4 million views in Hindi, becoming the 7th most-watched trailer. It has beaten the views of KGF: Chapter 2 which generated 49 million views in the first 24 hours in Hindi on YouTube. Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki trailer remains on top with 58.50 million views.## The Telugu trailer of the film has created a record with 44.65 million views in the first 24 hours. It has beaten Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram which scored 37.70 million views. Pushpa 2 Telugu trailer views are also the highest for a South Indian language trailer as Guntur Kaaram was previously the number 1 on this list. ## Overall, the Pushpa 2 trailer scored 104 million views in all languages in the first 24 hours on different YouTube channels. Mumbai, November 18 - Producer Sajid Nadiadwala officially announced the 4th instalment of the action thriller franchise Baaghi, starring Tiger Shroff. Baaghi 4 will be directed by the Kannada filmmaker A. Harsha who has previously directed almost a dozen films, including Bhajarangi and Vedha. ## Baaghi 4 was announced on November 18 with the first look poster in which Tiger Shroff is looking menacing. In the poster, Tiger is seen sitting on a toilet seat with a knife in hand and a bottle of alcohol. Chennai, November 17 - Kollywood star Suriya's Kanguva has an underwhelming extended opening weekend at the box office, considering the hype and craze it had among the fans before release. The movie scored a good opening but it has been a downfall since then. ## The movie scored a minor jump on Sunday, however, a big jump which was needed after the underwhelming first 3 days, was missing. According to the early estimates, the fantasy action thriller scored an estimated 12-13 crores gross collection in all versions on its 4th day. ## In Tamil Nadu, the movie scored more or less in the similar range as yesterday for an estimated 5.50 crores gross while showing a minor jump in most of the other areas. The total first 4-day weekend collection is around 64 crores gross in India, which is underwhelming. ## The negative word of mouth has affected Kanguva big time during the first weekend and now, a rebound looks difficult from hereon. Hyderabad, November 17 - Actor Dulquer Salmaan, who has done the majority of his films in the Malayalam cinema since debuting in this industry back in 2012, finally scored his maiden 100 crores grosser that too from a straight Telugu film, titled Lucky Bashkar. ## Directed by Venky Atluri, the period crime drama film topped this magical box office milestone on its 18th day (3rd Sunday), becoming the first movie of Dulquer and the second for director Atluri (after Vaathi/Sir) to achieve the feat. ## Lucky Bashkar grossed approximately 76 crores domestically and 26.50 crores overseas for a worldwide cume total of 102.50 crores through the third Sunday. Chennai, November 17 — Actress Jyothika has called out the targeted negativity towards her husband, actor Suriya. The award-winning actress took to Instagram and shared her thoughts on Suriya's latest movie Kanguva and how it has been made to suffer with hate campaigns by media and certain fraternities. ## While admitting that Kanguva is not a perfect film with some issues, especially in the first half-hour, the actress said it is also not a bad movie that deserves such a high level of negativity. The movie was released on November 14 and was bashed left, right, and centre on social media which has already affected the box office of the film. ## Speaking about the same, Jyotika said in a long note on Instagram, "I'm surprised with the negative reviews from media and certain fraternities, as it's not done by them to this high level for the most unintellectual big budget films I have seen earlier with age-old stories, where women r stalked, double meaning dialogues r spoken and have the most over the top action sequences".## The actor-producer further said that the media intentionally ignored the positive side while reviewing the film and that has made her wonder largely whether one should ever read, listen or believe reviewers after all. ## "It's sad that they chose this much negativity for Kanguva on day 1, even before the first show was over (seemed more like multiple group propagandas) when it actually deserves applause for the concept and effort taken by the team to create 3D and such a magnificent visual", she added.## Directed by Siva and produced by Studio Green, Kanguva opened to record numbers for actor Suriya but dropped heavily in the next 2 days.
