Ontario, 21 September - Mustafa Ali is no longer associated with WWE. ## Ali made this announcement recently and it comes as a surprise, especially considering his scheduled appearance on WWE Raw next week, scheduled for September 25, 2023, at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. Ali was also slated to challenge Mysterio for a title at NXT No Mercy on September 30. ## The specific reasons behind his departure remain unclear at the moment. It's worth noting that Ali had previously requested to be released a couple of years ago when Vince McMahon was in charge of creative decisions. Norfolk, 20 September - In June 2022, McMahon retired from WWE. However, he came back to the company in 2023 for a corporate job. He then took a break because of spinal surgery. With the Endeavor purchase, McMahon will make the final decisions, while Triple H will manage daily creative control. ## His year has been quite wild, from the hush money scandal to federal government investigations. Following the commotion, WWE agreed to be acquired by Endeavor and merged with UFC to form the TKO Group Holdings company. ## The merger happened despite federal government inquiries into McMahon for the hush money scandal last summer, which was supposedly not on the record. However, on July 17, the feds issued a search warrant after the allegations came to light. Randy Orton, 20 September - Randy Orton's back at the WWE Performance Center, but they've kept it hush-hush. ## Fightful Select spilled the beans, saying Orton was there this week. Cassidy from Bodyslam also mentioned Orton's bus parked at the WWE PC. ## Orton's back in the gym, and he's bulked up quite a bit. He had some rumors swirling about his return earlier, but in early August, he still hadn't been given the green light for in-ring training. In May 2022, Orton hurt his back and had to go through fusion surgery. ## He's been pretty vocal about wanting to get back in the ring after that. Before the injury, he was Matt Riddle's tag partner, and they held both Raw and SmackDown Tag Team titles. Unfortunately, they lost to The Usos, and the titles got merged. Bate with comes out with a delayed superplex for the cover, but no win again. Buth locks in Guillotone and follows up with a neckbreaker, but Bate fights back. ## Bate is just fired up, he goes for a shooting star press followed by a belly-to-belly suplex for the cover, but Butch kicks out. Bate with another move, this time it's his signature move, "the Tyler Driver 97," but Butch turns it into a triangle hold. ## Bate goes for another Tyler Driver 97 attempt but misses it and Butch executed one of his own, getting a near fall. Butch goes for Bitter End, but misses and Bate comes out there with a DDT of his own. Bate gets a near fall after landing his own Bitter End move. No high-fly move for the time being. Duke with a back body drop for the cover, but no win there. Duke goes for a powerbomb but misses. Joe connects with a backbreaker for a near fall. ## Duke tries the Bionic U-Bow, but Joe rolls through the ropes to the floor. Joe goes for a dropkick and he gets it followed by a German Suplex. Joe attempts a Glasgow Sendoff and get it. There were multiple roll-ups for the near fall. Lola connects with a hyper-extending Perez’s arm for another near fall. ## Lola locks in LeBell Lock, but Perez counters it with forearms. Perez connects with a Thesz Press followed by a Dropkick in the corner. Perez with a roll-up for the three-count victory. ## WINNER: Roxanne Perez ## Dominik Mysterio vs. Carmelo Hayes in a Champion vs. Champion Non-Title Match ## We have a fired-up start right here. Dom with a sneak attack before the bell even rang. The bell rings and they exchange punches. Hayes goes for a Fadeaway for the cover, but no win. Dom with a snap mare, nearly securing the win. Dom connects with a Suplex this time and goes for another one, but this time Hayes escapes and goes for a TKO suplex. ## Hayes with a facebuster followed by a clutch slam for a near fall. Dom with a DDT for near fall. Dom sends Hayes into the ropes and performs a 619. Hayes with a Codebreaker and goes to the ropes, but Dom crothes him down. We see Ilja is there and, Dom sends Hayes to Ilja. Dom slaps Ilja and that's all, Ilja attacks Dom, leading a DQ into the match with Dom retaining the title. ## WINNER: Dominik Mysterio ## Nathan Frazer vs. Joe Coffey (with Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) vs. Duke Hudson (with Andre Chase) in a Group B Eliminator Match ## The triple-threat match between Duke Hudson, Joe Coffey, and Nathan Frazer was one of the top matches of the night. The match starts off with Prazer landing a Dropkick. Frazer knocks Joe off the apron. Frazer ran between them and hit a double dropkick. ## Frazer comes off with a Suicide dive and unleashes punches. Joe hit Frazer with the Glasgow Sendoff/ Frazer with a springboard moonsault into a reverse DDT on Joe and follows up with another one. Duke hit Frazer with a slingshot German suplex and then landed a back elbow and a running boot on Joe. He attempted a spinning uranage on Frazer, but Joe broke up the pin. ## Joe started punching Duke and sent him out of the ring. Duke briefly considered going after Joe outside but refocused on Frazer. Frazer countered Duke's moves with a kick, executed a poisonrana, and followed up with a Phoenix Splash. Salt Lake City, 18 September - The taping of this week's Monday Night Raw on September 18, 2023, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, UT, had some last-minute changes. It seems like this kind of thing happens quite a bit on the show. According to reports, two wrestlers couldn't compete as originally planned.## As per BWE on X, Xavier Woods was supposed to be in a match, teaming up with Kofi Kingston to take on The Viking Raiders in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match. However, Woods wasn't given the green light to wrestle this week. WWE decided to switch things up and added Kofi Kingston vs. Ivar to the show instead.## Another change involved Tegan Nox, who was scheduled for a title match against Becky Lynch. But plans took a turn, and Lynch decided to put her title on the line in an open challenge, which Natalya accepted. ## It's worth noting that Xavier Woods had a knee injury a couple of years ago that caused him to miss some tapings. Salt Lake City, September 18, 2023 - Here is the full coverage and results for Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso which takes place on the September 18 episode of Monday Night Raw. ## WWE Raw 9/18: Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso Full Match Recap ## The bell rings and the match starts off, it looks like a banger match already. No touch for the time being as they have an intense look in the eyes. They lock up, and Drew pushes him in the corner, again they stretch around and lock up with Drew taking him back in the corner, Jey with punches followed by a kick to the neck. Drew dashes Jey to the mat. ## Drew chops in the corner and pounds him away with his legs. Jey with multiple big right hands to the jaw. Meanwhile with a kick in the ribs and follows up with a Suplex for near fall. Drew with a chop takes Jey to the mat and goes for the stomp. Jey Uso recovers and unloads punches on the top of the ring post. Drew is sent over the top ropes and Jey comes off with a Suicide Dive to take down Drew. Jey gets back into the ring, while, Drew is up on his feet. Jey with another Suicide Dive to take down Drew. ## Meanwhile, we see Judgement Day arrive as we go back to the commercial break. ## We are back here live, and both superstars are fighting at the top of the ring post. McIntyre catches Jey with a massive Superplex off the top. Both men land hard on the mat, Drew recovers and he is up on his knees. They exchange strikes, and Jey is getting the upper hand. Drew with a Glasgow kiss. While, Jey with a Samoan Drop for the cover, but Drew Kicks out. ## McIntyre with a right hand to Jey Uso and he goes up to the top ropes, Uso is up on his feet, and Drew rolls through. Drew with a back suplex for the cover and Jey kicks out. Jey kicks him in the face, Drew with a neckbreaker when Jey goes for another move.
