Suriya 42: Hindi Rights Of Tamil Star Suriya's Next Gets Sold In Whopping Price

Chennai, January 2 - The Tamil film industry delivered two of the biggest blockbusters of 2022 in the form of Kamal Haasan's "Vikram" and Mani Ratnam's "Ponniyin Selvan - 1" which grossed over 400 crores worldwide each. This year, the Tamil industry promises to be a lethal force at the Pan India box office with multiple tentpoles lined up to release and one of them is Suriya's next with director Siva. ## In 2022, Suriya announced his maiden collaboration with director Siva for his next, tentatively titled Suriya 42. Disha Patani was confirmed the play the female lead in this action-adventure Pan India film that is being shot in 3D and will be released in 10 Indian languages. ## Now, according to Pinkvilla, producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios has acquired the Hindi rights of the film for a whopping unheard price. It is said that Pen Studios has acquired the satellite, digital and theatrical rights for the Hindi version of the film for Rs. 100 crores. This is the biggest buy to date for a Suriya film in Hindi and also one of the biggest buys to date for a Pan-India film from the Tamil Film Industry. ## Jayantilal Gada remained one of the most successful Hindi filmmakers in 2022. He released successful Hindi versions of South Indian films like "RRR", "Vikram", "Ponniyin Selvan" and "Sita Ramam" along with producing the hit Bollywood movie "Gangubai Kathiawadi". The producer will now be looking to repeat the success in 2023 with "Ponniyin Selvan - 2" and "Suriya 42". ## "Suriya 42", which is produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, is currently in production and will be wrapped by March this year. Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' To Get Day And Date Release In Hindi, Title Revealed

Mumbai, November 29 - The highly-awaited Tamil action drama film Varisu, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna is getting ready to release in theaters on Pongal 2023. The movie was announced to release simultaneously in Telugu as Vaarasudu. ## Now, according to the latest confirmed reports, the Vamshi Paidipally directorial will also get a Hindi release.
