Samantha Ruth Prabhu To Be Paired With Vicky Kaushal In Director Aditya Dhar's 'The Immortal Ashwatthama'?

Mumbai, July 7 - A couple of days ago, it was revealed that Samantha Ruth Prabhu is in the talks to do an epic mythology film, however, the details were not disclosed then. Now, according to the latest development, the actress has been in talk to star in director Aditya Dhar's ambitious film, "The Immortal Ashwatthama". ## "The Immortal Ashwatthama" was announced in January last year with Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. However, due to financial issues, the movie could go on floors and was pushed indefinitely. It was to be produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the RSVP Movies production banner, but he has reportedly backed out from this magnum opus. ## The sci-fi epic is finally back on track with new producers. Aditya Dhar and the team are reportedly in advanced talks with Samantha to play the leading lady with Vicky headlining the title role. "Aditya has been working on to fine-tune the script of The Immortal Ashwatthama for a while now and is all gearing up to take it on floors in 2023", according to Pinkvilla. ## "The casting is underway, and the filmmaker has finally aligned his vision with the financials that his studio partner has approved. Ram Charan In Talks To Play Legendary Indian King Suheldev For Amish Tripathi's Legend of Suheldev's Feature Film Adaptation?

Mumbai, July 7 - Back in 2020, renowned author Amit Tripathi's best-seller "Suheldev – The King Who Saved India" was announced to be adapted into a feature film by Tripathi's Immortal Studios with Wakaoo Films, and Casa Media. ## The pre-production for the film and the script work had begun, however, due to the covid-19 pandemic, makers had to push the movie indefinitely and since then there was no development on it. However, things are looking to be back on track and the makers have reportedly approached Ram Charan to play the legendary Indian King. ## According to IndiaToday.in, the makers are in talks with Charan, who is fresh from SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR". The modalities of the movie are currently being worked upon and if all goes well, Charan will be seen playing King Suheldev, who defeated the army of Ghazi Saiyyad Salar Maqsud in the Battle of Bahraich (present-day Uttar Pradesh). ## Earlier, there were reports saying the Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar would be playing the titular role, however, all the reports turned into rumors as there was no such development. Mumbai, July 7 - Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has been shooting for Karan Johar's "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" for quite some time now as the film, co-stars Alia Bhatt, is scheduled to release in February 2023. Before that, Ranveer will be headlining Rohit Shetty's comic caper "Cirkus", due on December 23, 2022, release. ## Ranveer, apart from the aforementioned films, will also be doing the Hindi remake of director Shankar's "Anniyan". However, the production has been delayed indefinitely due to Shankar's other commitments for "RC 15" and "Indian 2". Meanwhile, the actor has been discussing multiple films and one of them is "Shaktimaan". ## Sony Pictures India and actor-producer Mukesh Khanna had earlier announced the "Shaktimaan" trilogy. The movie is holding remarkably well though the overall collection remains low. Ajay Devgn Replaces Dharmendra Sharma To Direct Kaithi Hindi Remake, Bholaa

Mumbai, July 4 - Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has begun working on his 4th directorial venture, "Bholaa". The Hindi remake of the Tamil hit "Kaithi", was supposed to be directed by Dharmendra Sharma, who has now reportedly been replaced with Devgn, who is also producing and playing the lead role in the movie. ## Ajay Devgn received praise for his recent directorial, "Runway 34". The movie performed decently in theaters but has been finding appreciation off late from the audience following its premiere on the OTT platform, especially Devgn's direction. He has previously directed "U Me Aur Hum", and "Shivaay". ## The actor took to Twitter and shared the news with a photo of himself sitting behind the camera. "It's time to say ACTION again! Mumbai, July 3 - R. Madhavan's "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect" has shown an upward trend over the opening weekend, thanks to the positive word of mouth despite having a low buzz before the release. The biographical drama film, directed and produced by R. Madhavan himself, scored 4.70 crores net in the first two days. The movie sees a jump of around 24% on Sunday for an estimated 3.70 crores net for all languages. The Hindi version of the film is leading the charge. After showing a big jump on Saturday, it scores another good growth on Sunday for an estimated 2.20 crores net in Hindi. The total Hindi collection of the film is now at 4.70 crores (estimated).
