Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love and War' Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, Postponed To March 2026

Mumbai, September 13 - Maverick filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's war romance drama Love and War has been postponed to March 2026. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the leading roles. ## Love and War was originally announced for the Christmas 2025 release but due to reasons unknown, it has been pushed back to March 20, 2026, coinciding with the festive season of Eid, Ram Navami and Gudi Padwa. The shoot will commence in October this year. ## The film was announced in January this year and it created a stir with its casting of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. It is said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali will begin Love & War by shooting for some sole sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor and then move on to the friendship portions of RK and Vicky Kaushal. ## Alia Bhatt, who is reportedly playing the role of a jazz singer in the film, will join husband RK and Vicky Kaushal in December/Early January. Vicky and Alia will non-stop shoot for the movie as the duo has reportedly allotted 200 days for the same. It is said that they will indulge in romantic sequences, followed by conflict scenes with Ranbir Kapoor who has solo action scenes along with friendship sequences with Vicky and romance and drama scenes with Alia.## Love and War might clash with Shah Rukh Khan-fronted King which is also reportedly eyeing Eid 2026 release. Shah Rukh Khan's 'King' To Release On Eid 2026

Mumbai, September 13 - After the historic comeback in 2023 with three back-to-back big blockbusters, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is taking time before starting his next film, titled King which with director Sujoy Ghosh under production Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix. ## King has been in the pre-production work for a while now and was supposed to go on floors by the end of this year. However, the makers are being extra careful before starting the shoot which has now been delayed to January 2026, according to the report by Pinkvilla. ## It is said that the first schedule of King will commence in Mumbai in January 2025, followed by a marathon schedule in Europe. The makers have done multiple rounds of recce in Europe to identify virgin locations that bring scale to the film. ## The film will be shot until August/September 2025 due to multiple changes in the locations. As reported earlier, the movie will miss a 2025 release which the makers were originally eyeing, and as per the latest report, it will now be hitting the big screen on Eid 2026. ## If the movie indeed makes it to the Eid 2026 slot, it will be Shah Rukh Khan's first film to release on this particular festival since Chennai Express (2013) which was a blockbuster. ## King is said to be an action thriller, unlike any other film Shah Rukh Khan has done so far. One Year of Shah Rukh Khan's Biggest Blockbuster 'Jawan'

Mumbai, September 7 - 2023 was the year completely dominated by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan with three big box office blockbusters. It all began with his comeback film, Pathaan before Jawan outdid it with its phenomenal performance, followed by the third success of the year in the form of Dunki. ## Pathaan redefined the stardom of Shah Rukh Khan by becoming his first 1000 crores gross grosser before director Atlee's Jawan took it to the next level and turned out to be one of the biggest Pan India blockbusters of all time. Jawan has turned a year old after getting unleashed at the box office on this day (September 7) last year.## The action thriller was one of the first major collaborations between a South Indian director and a Bollywood superstar in recent times, and this collaboration turned out to be one of the most talked about for redefining the mass genre in Indian cinema. It was mounted on a huge scale and featured many mass moments to turn the theatres into stadiums.## Jawan was a box office phenomenon from day 1 and it broke several records in India and overseas. As said, it scored the biggest opening (75 crores net) for a Bollywood film, followed by the biggest first week of all time for Bollywood and one of the biggest in Hindi.## The box office juggernaut of the movie continued beyond the first week and eventually turned out to be the biggest Bollywood blockbuster domestically. In the original Hindi language, it is the highest-grossing movie ever with 582 crores net collection (687 crores gross) while its worldwide collection is 1160 crores gross. ## Jawan is the second highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide of all time after Dangal which grossed approximately 1300 crores in China out of its 2070 crores worldwide cume. Box Office: Stree 2 Tops 500 Crore Net Collection; Second Fastest To Do So

August 2024 Indian Box Office Report

Mumbai, September 5 - August 2024 show some of the most-awaited films getting released but none could leave a mark at the Indian box office, except for mega-blockbuster success of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted horror-comedy Stree 2, along with Tamil movies Demonte Colony 2, and Raayan, and Telugu title Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.## Despite the mixed bag of successes, August proved to be the biggest-grossing month of the year (so far) at the Indian box office, thanks to the monstrous contribution from Stree 2. The IBO delivered approximately 1100 crores gross collection in August, with almost 50% contribution from Stree 2.## Amar Kaushik's directorial was easily the highest-grossing film in India in Independence Day month, with an approximate gross collection of 540 crores, almost 13X of the second biggest grosser of the month, Vikram-starrer Tamil movie Thangalaan which grossed approximately 42 crores.## There were 3 major Bollywood releases in August, and other than Stree 2, Akshay Kumar-fronted comedy drama Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's action thriller Vedaa proved to be failures with approximately 33 crores gross, and 25 crores gross, respectively. ## Among the Telugu titles, Double iSmart and Mr. Bachchan ended up as huge disasters while the only saving grace for the industry came towards the end of the month in the form of Nani-starrer Saripodhaa Sanivaaram which was the highest-grossing Telugu movie in August with 26 crores gross (3 days only).## For Tamil, other than Thangalaan which underperformed, it was Dhanush-starrer Raayan which released in July with a blockbuster collection and continued the momentum in August to add another 36 crores gross collection to its total and was the biggest Tamil grosser of the month. Horror thriller Demonte Colony 2 also proved to be a success with approximately 35 crores gross in Tamil. ## The total domestic collection in August was the highest of the year, beating January which delivered approximately 1025 crores in gross collection in India.
