Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's 'Stree 2' Teaser Details Revealed

Mumbai, June 7 - The most-anticipated film in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe is Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 which is the sequel to 2018's Stree. The movie is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios. ## The industry is waiting for the response to Stree 2 which will be released in August this year. Meanwhile, the makers are gearing up to launch the movie's teaser soon after completing the censorship formalities yesterday. ## It is learned that the teaser of Stree 2 was censored on June 7 and it received a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 1 minute and 23 seconds. The release date of the teaser is yet to be announced. ## Stree was the first film in Maddock Supernatural Universe, followed by Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. Box Office: Munjya Takes Third Best Opening In Maddock Films' Horror-Comedy Universe

Mumbai, June 8 - Director Aditya Sarpotdar's Munjya has taken the third-best opening in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe after performing way above expectations. It is the 4th movie in the studio's successful Supernatural Universe after Stree (2018), Roohi (2021), and Bhediya (2022).## Starring Sharvari Wagh, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj in the key roles, Munjya scored approximately 4 crores net on its opening day, including the previews. In the horror-comedy universe, it is the third-best start after Bhediya (7.50 crores net) and Stree (6.82 crores net). Roohi scored 2.90 crores during the COVID-19 pandemic. ## Munjya, despite no face value, surprised the trade which was expecting an opening day in the range of 2 crores net. Box Office: Munjya Opening Day/First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, June 7 - The latest entry in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, Munjya surprises with a better-than-expected opening at the domestic box office, thanks to the lower-than-normal ticket prices which boosted its prospects. ## The movie has less face value but its connection with the horror-comedy universe, plus reasonable ticket prices seem to have worked wonders as it has taken the opening of 3.50-3.75 crores net, as per the early estimates, which wasn't looking a possibility before the release. ## Munjya scored a decent pre-sales which indicated the opening in the range of 2 crores net but credit should be given to the makers for opting for non-popular prices. The initial word of mouth also seems to be on the positive side which pushes the collection beyond 3 crores net. ## The opening weekend collection of Munjya could well be 13-15 crores net which is a good total. Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut Slapped By CISF Constable At Chandigarh Airport

Chandigarh, June 6 - Actress turned-politician, Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) woman constable at the Chandigarh airport on Thursday, according to a report by NDTV. ## Kangana Ranaut was elected as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from the Mandi constituency of Himachal Pradesh on the Bhartiya Janata Party ticket. The actress was about to board a flight to Delhi from Chandigarh airport when the incident happened at around 3 PM today. ## It is alleged that Kangana was moving towards the boarding area at the airport to travel to Delhi when the CISF official, Kulwinder Kaur, allegedly argued with her and slapped her. Mumbai, June 6 - A sequel to Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani's family comedy-drama JugJugg Jeeyo is reportedly in the early development at Dharma Productions with Raj Mehta is expected to return as the director. ## According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, after teasing a sequel for a long time, Karan Johar and Raj Mehta are officially working on JugJugg Jeeyo, however, the report suggests the makers may change the title and it is more likely to be a spiritual sequel. ## It is said that Raj Mehta has begun writing the sequel with his team of writers and is looking to take it in on floors by the end of this year or early 2025. Mumbai, June 5 - Director Rajesh A Krishnan's heist comedy Crew starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon is turning out to be a big success on Netflix after emerging as one of the biggest box office successes of the year. ## Crew premiered on Netflix on May 24 after completing 8 weeks of the theatrical run with over 150 crores in gross collection at the worldwide box office. On its Netflix premiere, the movie scored 5.4 million views in the opening weekend, taking one of the best starts of the year for an Indian title. ## The movie's viewership shot up in the second week (May 27 - June 2) as it scored 8.9 million views. Mumbai, May 29 - IMDb has unveiled the list of the top 100 most viewed Indian stars of the last decade (2014-2024) and the list is topped by Deepika Padukone, who debuted in 2007 with Om Shanti Om. Deepika's co-star, Shah Rukh Khan takes the second spot. ## The first 10 most viewed Indian stars are the ones who have worked in the Hindi film industry for the major part of their career. Former Miss World and legendary actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is in the third spot, followed by Alia Bhatt and late Irrfan Khan, at number 4 and 5, respectively. ## The other stars in the top 10 are Aamir Khan at 6, the late Sushant Singh Rajput at 7, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Akshay Kumar at 8-10, respectively. Mumbai, May 28 - Aamir Khan's production venture Laapataa Ladies has become the most-watched Indian film of 2024 on Netflix by beating Hrithik Roshan's Fighter.## Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Rao added another 1.9 million views in its fifth week (May 20 - May 26) which took its total viewership to 15.7 million views in 31 days to become the most-watched Indian title of 2024 on Netflix after beating Fighter (14 million views). ## Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn-fronted Shaitaan has also crossed Fighter and is now the second most-watched Indian movie of the year.
