Thank God First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 30 - Thank God continues its poor run at the box office despite being released on one of the best weekends of the year. Yesterday the film had shown a growth of around 15% and there was an expectation that the film will see further growth today due to the Sunday holiday but that hasn't happened as the Sunday collections look similar to yesterday.## The early estimate collections suggest approx. 4 crores net which is just a few lakhs better than yesterday. The first Sunday collections will take the total collections of Thank God to around 29.40cr depending on the actual first Sunday collections.## The film has failed to perform at the box office initially with the film failing to touch even 30cr in its first extended weekend of 6 days. There was a cricket match with India that restricted the growth of the film but the film was not going to collect big anyhow due to poor audience feedback.## Stay tuned...

Ram Setu First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 30 - Ram Setu which underperformed on the first weekend had shown its first growth yesterday when it grew around 20% and it was expected that the film will show further growth today but that did not happen. Of course, the collections are better than yesterday but the trajectory of the film is not as good as it should have been. ## The film scored an estimated 7.75 crores net on its first Sunday, jumping approx. 5%. The main reasons for limited growth are a cricket world cup match of India and that too in peak collection time. The other reason for limited growth is less appreciation of the film barring a few circuits where it had done decent business.## The first Sunday collections will take the entire box office collections of Ram Setu to around the 56.50cr mark. There is a shortfall of 4cr which would have made the extended weekend of Ram Setu on a decent note. The Monday hold will give the idea of the lifetime business of the film and whether it will be able to cross 100cr net collections or not. Ram Setu will be the fourth consecutive nonperformer of Akshay Kumar along with Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, and Raksha Bandhan who was going through his best phase as an actor with 4 superhit films before the pandemic struck.## Stay tuned...

He is currently in talks with multiple filmmakers for different films and one of them is Om Raut. ## According to reports, Om Raut has approached Ranveer Singh to feature in his next film which is touted to be an ambitious VFX-driven project wherein Om Raut is looking to use an AI-inspired technique to film the entire movie. ## It is said that Ranveer liked the idea and basic concept of Raut's film. It was the first film in producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, followed by Janhvi Kapoor's "Roohi" and the upcoming Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's "Bhediya". ## Dinesh Vijan has reportedly been planning to introduce new characters in this horror-comedy universe and in this process, a new vampire movie with Ayushmann Khurrana and Samantha Ruth Prabhu is also in the development to start production in 2023.## Meanwhile, apart from the new characters, Maddock Films is also working on the sequel to the already established character and the first in this is the sequel to "Stree". Mumbai, October 28 - Ram Setu, which recorded decent first three days at the box office with 35.40 crores net has shown another drop today at the box office. The film has witnessed a similar drop to yesterday with around a 20% drop depending on the final collections.## The early estimate collections suggest 7 crores net box office mark which will take the entire collections of Ram Setu to around 42.40cr net. The extended weekend collections are looking to be around the 60cr mark unless the film shows huge growth on Saturday and Sunday and goes towards the 65cr mark which is difficult due to less appreciation of the film.## The film did not perform at the expected level at least initially and the hope is that the film crosses the 100cr mark somehow for a decent result at the box office. Mumbai, October 26 - Ram Setu which had a good first-day collection mainly due to the mass markets, has shown a drop on the second day which was expected as the first day of the film was the national holiday and that too of post-Diwali day which is the biggest holiday of the year for the box office collections.## Today was a working day in some parts of the country while a few circuits had a holiday so overall today was like a partial holiday for Ram Setu and considering that the collections are decent as it scored an estimated 10.50-11 crores net on the second day. The drop on Wednesday is in the range of 30% compared to the first day. ## Today's collections will take the first two days' collections of the film to a little under the 26cr net mark depending on the final second-day collections.## The film is doing fine in some circuits while the rest are the opposite. Ram Setu and Thank God First Day Collections

Mumbai, October 26 - The big Diwali releases "Ram Setu" starring Akshay Kumar, and "Thank God" starring Ajay Devgn and Siddharth Malhotra released yesterday and both films took low openings in the morning despite the advantage of a huge all-India holiday. ## Ram Setu started getting good audience post the morning shows thanks to excellent walk-ins in mass markets. It collected 15.10 crores net box office collections on the first day and emerged as the biggest Akshay Kumar opener of 2022 beating Bachchan Pandey.## Thank God, on the other hand, struggled to get audiences and as a result, the film only managed to collect 8.10 crores net box office collections which is a low number on post-Diwali day. The film has seen a good collection in the same circuits where comedy genre films tend to do well.## Overall both Ram Setu and Thank God failed to beat last year's Diwali release Sooryavanshi which co-incidentally starred Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn. Sooryavanshi collected 26.29cr despite the 50% occupancy rule in Maharashtra and the combined collections of Ram Setu and Thank God are 23.35cr which is almost 3cr less than Sooryavanshi.## The main reason why the combined collections of Ram Setu and Thank God failed to beat Sooryavanshi is the fact that both Ram Setu and Thank God were not event films like Sooryavanshi so there was not much interest among the public to watch the film initially.## Stay tuned...

Thank God Opening Day Early Estimate

Mumbai, October 25 - The other big Diwali release of the day "Thank God" starring Ajay Devgn and Siddharth Malhotra has also been released in theaters today. Unlike Ram Setu, the "Thank God" first trailer was not much appreciated by the audience though it had a hit song and a favorable genre comedy along with the good second trailer. The film had a poor start in the morning much like Ram Setu but Ram Setu started getting the audience after the morning shows which was missing in the case of Thank God. The film is directed by Indra Kumar who remains one of the biggest directors but he has passed his peak way back. ## The early estimates suggest approx. 8.50-9.50 crores net, depending upon mass belts, which is a low number considering the post-Diwali day holiday. But it was expected as these types of nonevent films won't find much audience. Still, the film can put some decent collections in the next couple of days due to the prolonged holidays of Diwali.## Overall it is a decent Diwali for the Industry as both these releases will fall short of last year's Sooryavanshi opening day collections. Ram Setu is not an event film like Sooryavanshi so the holiday won't benefit the film much though the excitement among the fans was there to see.## The film has fetched a poor advance booking and the advance did not suggest that "Ram Setu" will even touch the 10cr mark but since post-Diwali day is the biggest day for the box office, the walk-ins are bigger than any other day and that enabled the film to score a decent opening day.## The early estimate collections suggest approx. 15 crores net box office mark which is fine for a film like Ram Setu on any other day except for post-Diwali day. A collection of around 18-20cr would have been a good start. The film opens with a 15-20% audience in the morning and that was a killer for Ram Setu.## The opening day came on the strength of a huge holiday and the film should collect well over the next few days to put in a respectable first-weekend number. The stronghold circuits of Akshay Kumar which are basically the mass markets put a strong collections afternoon onwards which is a positive sign for the film.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, October 23 - Superstar Prabhas is celebrating his 43rd birthday today and to make this special, T-Series launched a new poster of Adipurush, featuring Prabhas in the title role. The movie is directed by Om Raut whose last directorial, "Tanhaji" was a massive hit. ## The birthday poster of Prabhas in Adipurush gives the divine look at the actor's characters as Shree Ram with Vanar Sena in the background. Prabhas is seen wearing a saffron vest and white dhoti and sporting long hair. Lighting in the burning sky is seen in the background along with his Vanar Sena. Salman Khan To Reunite With Sooraj Barjatya For A Family Entertainer?

Mumbai, October 22 - Superstar Salman Khan and filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya is one of the most successful combos in Bollywood history. The duo's maiden collaboration, "Maine Pyar Kiya" (1989), which also marked Barjatya's directorial debut, was a massive blockbuster at the box office. ## After MPK, Salman and Sooraj reunited for one of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters of all time, "Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!" (1994), which gave birth to the family drama genre. Later, the duo worked together on two more films "Hum Saath-Saath Hain" and "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" and both were super hits. ## Now, according to the latest buzz, Salman and Sooraj Barjatya are set to join forces for their 5th film. Sooraj Barjatya is currently busy with the promotion of "Uunchai", starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Donzongpa, and Prineeti Chopra. It is scheduled to release on November 11. ## During the promotion, Barjatya revealed that Salman wanted to be a part of "Uunchai" but he rejected saying that there are older lead characters in the film. The filmmaker reportedly said that his next after "Uunchai" will be with Salman and it will be a complete family entertainer with music and romance. ## There is a common thing in Barjatya's films with Salman that the actor's name in those movies was Prem as it is said that Prem is lucky for the filmmaker.
