Pawan Kalyan's 'Kushi' Re-Release Scores Really Well In The First 3 Days

Hyderabad, January 3 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's classic blockbuster Kushi is having a very good second outing at the box office. The film was re-released recently in limited theaters and is performing better than most of the new releases. ## Directed by S. J. Suryah, "Kushi" had the biggest first day for a Telugu re-released film with a worldwide gross collection of approx. 4.30 crores. The opening-day box office numbers of "Kushi" were pretty impressive considering the fact that the movie was originally released more than 20 years ago in 2021. ## After the big first day, "Kushi" did well on the second day as well by grossing approx. 1.60 crores worldwide. It collected another apporx. 70 lakh on Monday worldwide. The total worldwide collection for "Kushi" re-release is approx. 6.60 crores, including approx. 5.70 crores from Telugu states. ## The first three days' box office collection of "Kushi" is higher than all the new released Telugu films this past weekend, speaks the volume of Pawan Kalyan's star power. Also, it is important to note that the previous biggest opening day record for a Telugu re-released movie also belonged to Pawan Kalyan whose "Jalsa" (re-released in Sept. 2022) grossed approx. 2.60 crores worldwide. ## Produced by A.M. Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Much-Awaited 'Shaakuntalam' Gets A Release Date

Hyderabad, January 2 - One of the most anticipated Indian films of the year, lady superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Shaakuntalam finally gets its release date after multiple delays. ## Directed by Gunasekhar, "Shaakuntalam" is a mythological love story drama film. It is made on a huge scale as one of the epic love stories ever in Indian cinema. Based on a popular play Shakuntala by Kalidasa, the film narrates the love tale of Shakuntala and her husband Dushyanta. ## Samantha Ruth Prabha plays the titular role of Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of Puru Dynasty along with Mohan Babu, Gautami, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla in supporting roles. Nani 30: Telugu Star Nani And Mrunal Thakur Team Up For The First Time

Hyderabad, January 1 - Telugu star Nani celebrated the new year 2023 with the announcement of his 30th film, to be directed by debutant Shouryuv. The announcement of the movie was made official with a glimpse video. ## Tentatively titled Nani30, the movie will feature Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and this will be her first film with Nani and second in Telugu after the blockbuster film "Sita Ramam". Nani 30 will be produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM), Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala, and Murthy K S. ## The makers of New Year released a video, unveiling the world of #Nani30. The video shows Nani sitting on top of a building and clicking photos while discussing with his on-screen daughter about his next project. Nani says he will be shaving his beard as well as his mustache which he grew for Dasara.## The glimpse video gives the impression that the movie will be an emotional family entertainer with a different concept and father-daughter bonding is going to be the USP. Pawan Kalyan's 'Kushi' Re-Release Breaks Box Office Records

Hyderabad, January 1 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan has proved his might at the box office again as his classic blockbuster film Kushi breaks records upon its re-release in theaters on December 31, 2022.## Directed by S. J. Suryah, "Kushi", which was originally released in 2001, got re-released on December 31st and scored a record-breaking collection at the worldwide box office on its first day. The movie records 1.65 crores gross in the Nizam area, which is the biggest ever for a re-released Telugu film. ## In Telugu states, "Kushi" grossed approx. 3.60 crores (revised) on the opening day, which is again an all-time record for a re-released film, beating Pawan Kayan's "Jalsa" which grossed approx. 2.60 crores on the first day. Power Star Pawan Kalyan's One More Classic Blockbuster 'Tholi Prema' To Re-Release In Theaters

The actor's "Jalsa" and "Kushi" got re-released in theaters and did really well at the box office despite the limited release. ## Now, according to the latest reports, one more classic blockbuster of Pawan Kalyan is getting ready to hit theaters in February 2023. SS Rajamouli Reiterates His Dream Project

Hyderabad, December 29 - SS Rajamouli has taken up a task to make grandeur films that appeal beyond boundaries. The maverick filmmaker's recent films - "Baahubali" films and "RRR" made a huge impact on audiences across the world and made Rajamouli arguably the biggest director in India. ## The blockbuster director has time and again spoken about his dream project which is epic Mahabharta. Hyderabad, December 26 - It has been tough 22 months for Tollywood star Ravi Teja but the table finally turned in his favor, thanks to the action comedy film Dhamaka which is currently playing in theaters. ## Ravi Teja was the first Tollywood hero who delivered a box-office hit when cinemas re-opened in 2021. The actor's action thriller Krack, which was released in January 2021, grossed approx. 60 crores worldwide and was declared a blockbuster. ## After "Krack", Ravi Teja had to wait for his next release due to the severe covid-19 outbreak, and when his next film "Khiladi" was released in February 2022, things weren't the same this time, and the movie was bombed at the box office. He had hoped to turn the tide with "Ramarao On Duty", released in July, but it turned out to be an even bigger disaster, leaving the makers shocked. ## It was always about one good film for the actor to back in the game and it finally came in the form of "Dhamaka". Top 10 Indian Cities Where Most Number of Movie Tickets Sold On Book My Show In 2022

Mumbai, December 25 - Book My Show, the online movie ticket portal, recently revealed the top 10 movies of 2022 with the highest number of tickets sold on its platform. Yash-fronted "KGF: Chapter 2" has been the most-watched Indian film of 2022 with over 50 million footfalls in theaters. ## Apart from revealing the top 10 movies, Book My Show also revealed which Indian cities witnessed the highest number of footfalls this year. While the portal didn't reveal the number of tickets, it announced that Hyderabad sold the highest number of tickets this year on BMS. ## The Telugu film industry has had great success this year, led by SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR" along with Mahesh Babu's "Sarkaru Vaari Paata", "Bheemla Nayak", "Karthikeya 2", and "Sita Ramam" along with many others. Kannada biggie, "KGF: Chapter 2" also did excellent business in Telugu states. ## The silicon valley of India, Bengaluru was also the top contributor to the Indian film industry as BMS announced it sold the second-highest number of movie tickets in the city in 2022. The Kannada film industry has been the biggest box office contributor this year, thanks to the biggest grosser of the year "KGF 2", along with the surprise monster blockbuster "Kantara", "777 Charlie", and "Vikrant Rona". ## The Hindi film industry wasn't top of its game in 2022 but still, the key contribution from the films like "Brahmastra", "The Kashmir Files", "Drishyam 2", and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" along with the huge contribution from the Hindi versions of "KGF 2", "RRR", and "Kantara", Mumbai scored the 3rd highest number of footfalls this year, as per BMS. India's Official Oscars 2023 Entry 'Last Film Show' Gets Shortlisted; SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' Snubbed

Mumbai, December 22 - Gujarati-language coming-of-age drama film, Chhello Show (Last Film Show) has been shortlisted in the 'International Feature Film' category at the Oscars 2023. ## The "Last Film Show" was selected as India's official entry for the Academy Awards 2023 over public favorite SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR. Directed by Pan Nalin, the movie will now be competing with 14 other films in the international feature film category to grab a place in the top 5 films, which will be announced on January 24.## The 'Naatu Naatu' song from "RRR" has been shortlisted in the original song category, becoming the first-ever Indian song ever to be shortlisted for the Academy Awards. However, the movie received disappointments in other categories. ## "RRR" was submitted in 15 general categories, including Best Film. It was predicted to score nominations in the Visual Effects category, but was snubbed and couldn't make it to the top 10 shortlists for the nominations. Hyderabad, December 19 - A new year treat is awaiting the fans of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan as his classic blockbuster Kushi is gearing up for a re-release in theaters.## Directed by S. J. Suryah, "Kushi", which also starred Bhumika Chawla as the female lead, will be re-released on the evening of the new year 2023 (31st December) in India and overseas on a record number of screens in the 4K remastered version.## It was reported that some promotional content for Pawan Kalyan's upcoming period action drama film "Hari Hara Veera Mallu" will also be added to "Kushi" as both films are produced by AM Ratnam. RRR Becomes The Highest-Grossing Indian Film In Japan, Beats Rajinikanth's 'Muthu'

Tokyo, December 13 - Superstar Rajinikanth's "Muthu's" long-standing box office record has finally been broken as SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR has become the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. ## "RRR", starring Jr. NTR, and Ram Charan has completed its 8th week at the Japan box office and has grossed ¥410 million (Rs. 24.88 crores) with 271K footfalls so far, which is also the highest for an Indian film. It has outdone Rajinikanth's "Muthu's" which had grossed ¥400 million in 1998. ## The SS Rajamouli-directed "RRR" was released in Japan in October this year and scored the biggest opening weekend for an Indian movie there. Though the numbers of "RRR" weren't as high as the makers had predicted it maintain a steady run throughout and finally topped "Muthu's" record to become the new number one Indian grosser in Japan. ## "RRR" is looking to go past ¥500 million and it was originally predicated to have this number. The movie has found appreciation wherever it has been released so far and Japan is the latest market in that list. NTR 30: NTR's Next With Koratala Siva To Start Filming In February 2023

The superstar teamed up with Koratala Siva for his next, tentatively titled NTR 30, and it was supposed to start production in the summer of 2022.## The pre-production of NTR 30 has been going on for quite some time now, however, the debacle result of Siva's last directorial, "Acharya" made him extra cautious as he wanted to be fully sure with the script of NTR's film before kickstarting the shoot.
